MEETING NOTICE
The Board of Accountancy of the North Dakota State Board of Accountancy (hereafter referred to as “governing body”) will be holding a regular meeting on July 20, 2023, at 11:00am. The meeting will be held at Brady Martz & Associates, in Grand Forks, ND. A link will be posted with the updated agenda. In the event that any or all of the members of the governing body participate in the meeting by telephone or video, a speakerphone or monitor will be available at the location noted above.

The North Dakota Board of Accountancy (Board) will be holding a Regular meeting on September 7, 2023, at 1:00 pm. The meeting will be held via Teams and a device will be available for public participation at the Board’s main office located at 215 North 3rd Street, Suite 202 C, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
At the time this notice is being prepared, the Board expects the agenda of its meeting to include discussion on CPE reporting and to ratify renewed licensees and firm permits. The governing body anticipates this to be the agenda items.

Happy Holidays

The North Dakota State Board of Accountancy office will be closed Friday November 11 in observance of Veteran's Day.
November 14, 2022 Special Meeting Time Changed
The Board meeting scheduled for 2:00 pm, Monday November 14, 2022, is moved to 12:30 pm on Monday November 14, 2022.

The North Dakota State Board of Accountancy office will be closed Monday September 5, 2022 in observance of Labor Day. Have a safe weekend!
July Board Meeting Moved to August
The Board meeting scheduled for July 28, 2022 is moved to August 2, 2022.
2022 Annual Renewal Late Fee Applied August 1
Reminder late fee of $100.00 is applied August 1. Any license not renewed by August 31 will be voluntarily relinquished on September 1.
If you have not yet renewed be sure to do so asap!

ND State Board of Accountancy Database Maintenance
Candidates will not be able to make ATT requests between December 17, 2021 and January 3, 2022. Please make requests for early January now.

NASBA Gateway down Friday Nov 12th
The Gateway system will be down for a scheduled outage this Friday November 12th, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Central). We are performing system updates and regular scheduled system maintenance. You WILL NOT be able to able to access the Gateway system through your Gateway user accounts during this time.

Extension of CPA Exam Testing in Asia Pacific
Qualified candidates may schedule to take any U.S. CPA Exam section through December 31, 2021, in Japan or the Republic of Korea. Any CPA candidate may also continue to schedule at the Guam Prometric Test Center as it remains open and available for testing.
Prometric to Open Uniform CPA Exam in Canada
NASBA and the AICPA have made the decision to administer the U.S. CPA Exam in Canada at approved Prometric test centers until June 30, 2021. We hope the convenience for Canadian candidates to take the Exam in their home country eases some of the burden they may be experiencing.

Prometric opening updates
Effective June 1, 2020, Prometric test sites in some markets will have every workstation in use, in line with local and governmental guidelines. To see if this applies to your testing site, please review the occupancy column on the Prometric site openings page. It is anticipated that additional test centers will similarly expand testing by utilizing all workstations in the near future, so we recommend closely monitoring the site openings page, which will be updated daily by Prometric.

Continuous Testing
The NASBA/AICPA/Prometric Contract Steering Group has made the decision to move forward with implementation effective July 2020.
NTS and Test Credit Extensions
Due to COVID19 the ND State Board of Accountancy authorized NASBA to grant extensions to Notices to Schedule set to expire between 4.1.2020 and 6.30.2020 and expiring Test Credit to September 30, 2020. All extensions will automatically go through NASBA no need to contact the NDSBA office.
Emergency Testing Period
In anticipation of the reopening of Prometric test centers on April 16, 2020, and in response to the COVID-19 situation, the NASBA/AICPA/Prometric Contract Steering Group has made the decision to invoke an emergency testing period. As part of this procedure, the 20Q2 testing window will be extended from June 10, 2020, to June 30, 2020.
NASBA's COVID19 Update
NASBA, AICPA, Prometric and the Boards of Accountancy (Boards) have been monitoring the COVID19 crisis and have taken the following actions to ensure the health and safety of our CPA Exam candidates.
NTS Extensions Due to Prometric Site Closures
NTS Extensions - All candidates with NTS expirations between April 1 – June 30, 2020 should be extended until September 30, 2020. NASBA can do this for all jurisdictions and no further action would be required from the Board.
NASBA Office Closure Notification - March 3,2020
Please be advised: To ensure the safety of NASBA staff, NASBA's Nashville, TN, office will be closed on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, due to tornado damage in the surrounding area.

Late Filing Fees to Increase
The North Dakota State Board of Accountancy voted to increase the late filing fees from $50 to $100 beginning with the 2019- 2020 renewal season at the July regular meeting. The board also decreased the amount of reporting time previously granted for extensions from October 31 to August 31.
