About Noah Kahan
Noah Kahan is an alt-pop singer-songwriter whose melodic skills and millennial sensibilities went viral in 2017, earning him a major-label deal. ∙ After performing his very first song at a middle school talent show, he was ordered to go to therapy for two weeks by his guidance counselor, due to the composition’s bleak lyrics. ∙ His 2017 duet with Julia Michaels, “Hurt Somebody,” was certified Gold in the US after peaking at No. 24 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. ∙ Kahan’s songwriting collaboration with Semisonic’s Dan Wilson, the confessional “Busyhead,” topped Billboard’s Adult Top 40 chart in 2019. ∙ Leaving his New York City apartment in 2020 due to the pandemic, he retreated to a high school friend’s home in Vermont, where he cut the EP Cape Elizabeth in a single week.
