"I selected Maid Brigade for my cleaning service and signed a one-year contract with it. Thus, the company representatives impressed me enough for me to actually sign a contract. However, since I have not actually experienced the service, much less for any length of time, I am, at this point, unable to evaluate the quality of the work performed, nor how consistent that quality is--a very important combination, in my opinion. However, I was impressed with the people I talked with on the phone and met in person. They were all well-spoken, courteous, informative, and helpful. They dealt with me in a way that made me feel they were really interested in having me aboard as a client and would do everything in their power to see to it that I am pleased with their service. On top of all that, I felt that their prices were very reasonable. At this point, then, I can rate as "very good" what the service offers and how it presents itself, but have no way of rating the actual quality of the work performed. I look forward to working with this cleaning service, and I am grateful to ServiceMagic for putting me in touch with it. They were on time, did a full diagnosis of the problem, presented options for the needed repairs at reasonable price points to ensure I had full information (for example: do I prefer to clean the filter or replace it? Repair the aging motor or replace it with a new one? Etc). The lead team member, Tony, showed me before/after pictures of everything they worked on to ensure I understood the work they completed and they follow that up with a full report detailing the work, with photos, for my files. "My ex-girlfriend and I own a home in San Rafael. When we decided to break up, we decided to keep the house instead of selling it and we rented it out. However, there were some things that needed to be fixed before new tenants moved in. The faucet in the kitchen and the shower head needed to be replaced because there wasn't much pressure and Rudy told us that it's because of the chlorine in the water that clogged it. Also the water wasn't draining well in the bathtub after shower and we knew that the most likely cause was the accumulation of hair overtime. What we didn't know was that you actually clean it from the bottom part of the faucet where the water comes not where the waste water drains, needed to be removed and cleaned, and oh boy there was so much hair. Rudy made it look so easy. He's a super nice person, able to fix almost anything, and his prices are very reasonable."
