For more than a decade the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville (Huntsville Center) has maintained acquisition and contract management of the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program. However, changes to the program are underway to turn over the program to the U.S. Army Engineer Research Development Center (ERDC), Vicksburg Miss., contracting activity as early as September.
New Magnetic Resonance Imaging equipment was part of Huntsville Center Medical Repair and Renewal program's $25 million project to design and renovate the radiology department at Joint Base Lewis-McChord's Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma Washington.
Construction on Huntsville Center's new building on Redstone Arsenal is underway and expected to be completed by January 2024. The purpose-built, 205,000 square foot building will allow the Center to consolidate its off-post leases and provide a more secure environment for the Center's workforce.
