CMS Training

The WEB.mil training team is continually developing a 3600 training model to support users in a cradle to grave strategic approach designed to enhance the customer experience in our training program. Our web based training program adheres to a “See and Do” approach, where the user is immersed in practical application and interaction with the product to ensure customer confidence in managing their content.

What we offer:

WEB.mil training team develops AFPIMS training for web content team members to complete before their site goes live. CMS Training is offered on demand, anytime/anywhere via web based training modules. Customers can also request a more personalized training session in a synchronous virtual or face-to-face setting.

WEB.mil training team offers monthly live interactive webinars that are also recorded and posted on the training team website for viewing at your convenience. We are developing a broader range of training to encompass a variety of topics surrounding the CMS to provide a “Big Picture” awareness.

The training team is building a community discourse to provide a personalized professional network where CMS customers can share knowledge, experience, and offer advice. Members of the discourse will be able to share their experiences and seek advice from other CMS users to improve their skills.

Our Quick Reference Guides, or QRGs, found on our CAC enabled training site at https://pwtraining.dma.mil/ are an excellent resource for step-by-step instructions on implementing changes to your website. These reference guides detail specific tasks in a simple click by click guide or describe all available options in a quick, at a glance, format that saves time and gets right to the point of what a user needs to address in the moment. The training team consistently updates these guides with the most current CMS information.

For fully detailed information about all aspects of the system, users can refer to the User Manual. With a clickable table of contents and advanced search tools, a user can quickly and easily navigate to the section of their choosing. The training team updates the manual quarterly to ensure the information consists of any new developments.

Interactive online courses are created, maintained and hosted by the Training Team, that provide a user with a hands-on, interactive training experience that gives a solid base of training to each user prior to accessing their site.  These courses are designed to engage the viewer using videos, imagery, guided simulation and much more to ensure the user gets a sense of interacting with the system, while keeping them in a safe environment free of worry about making mistakes.  All products also employ proper 508 compliance tools to ensure all users have access to the same training regardless of abilities.
