Defense Department unveils 2023 POW/MIA Recognition Day Poster
Join us live as the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) unveils the 2023 POW/MIA Recognition Day Poster at the Pentagon on June 22, 11 a.m. Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth will be the keynote speaker. These posters represent our commitment to accounting for missing Americans from past conflicts.

Service members from the U.S. Army 7th Engineer Dive Detachment and the U.S. Coast Guard Regional Dive Locker West combined skillsets and techniques with DPAA and one of its underwater archaeologists to take on the unique underwater recovery mission. Boy Scouts place flags on unknown graves
Alana Oishi-Agader and Alex Oishi-Agader, scouts from Troop 264 and Troop 664, Mililani, Hawaii, placed an American flag on the grave of an unknown service member at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific -Punchbowl in Honolulu. Their act embodies the spirit of Memorial Day.
