"I had Painting and Projects NYC paint my entire apt and they did an amazing job. I would gladly give them 5 stars."

"Hired Nickos same day I interviewed him. Started with one project regrouting bathroom shower and floor, swapping out shower heads and adding hand-held, installing new medicine cabinet, removing old sink and mess of adhesive on tiles at base, and installing new pedestal sink and hardware. Painted ceiling and installed light fixture. I was so pleased with his focus, hard work, and honest discussion of the project that I had him fix two other rooms for me. Nickos painted my study and all the Ikea shelves and armoires so they look like expensive built ins. I used flat paint on walls, gloss on woodwork, and high gloss on ceilings. He insisted on sanding and priming surfaces which is the right way to paint, and painted everything perfectly. My last painter argued with me over why he had to paint the tops of the armoires and bookshelves, the two sides of a captain's bed that would always be in a corner, and the moulding behind the bed no one would ever see. Nickos is not like that; he is a perfectionist. When a ceiling fan with faux deer antler light kit arrived without instructions, and he knew I had my heart set on having it installed and working when my son came home on Sunday, he came back later Friday evening to do it so that if there were still a problem, he'd still have time on Saturday to take care of it. That's the kind of guy I want to hire. He does things very well, works quietly and independently once the work has been discussed, and completes projects on time. I have several projects left: installing an electric firebox in my fireplace, building a utility closet in the kitchen, expanding access to a closet, another room to paint, and will use Nickos Construction for all of them."

"We just upgraded a bath, last remodeled in the early 90s, which involved retiling the shower and the floor of the main bath, installation of new sink and countertop and recessing a formerly flush mounted medicine cabinet. We are delighted with the results, and were particularly impressed with the care given to protecting the apartment during the work, and the clean-up afterward. Tom and Frank are a pleasure to work with and we recommend them without hesitation."

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.
We make finding a painter easy. Simple use our directory to find a painter. Here you can browse local pros, check their reviews and do your first screening without ever having to call. We’ve also prescreened all the pros for you, to give you peace of mind.
Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
