- Juggs Paving & Masonry Inc.There's no need to even consider any other company to do your driveway. I bought my house 3 years ago and the driveway was already terrible. It was a bumpy, cracked remnant of a very, very old driveway that could have probably doubled as a testing site for the Mars Rover, but I still prioritized other more "fun" projects inside the house. After shoveling chunks of asphalt along with snow for 3 seasons and needing to avoid a large crater that turns into an ice rink it could no longer be put off. I contacted about 5 companies and James answered the phone on the first call and came out for an estimate the next day. NONE of the other companies returned my call, but one did show up unannounced and left an estimate in the mailbox a week later. We were already sold on using Juggs even before getting the other estimate. It was obvious James takes great pride in his company, his work, and the trade as a whole. When we did get the estimate from the other company it was similar in price, but didn't include as much detail, as much base material and prep work, or removal of the old driveway (that was extra; weird). So, Juggs was overall a better deal. A couple weeks later it was our turn to get the driveway done. They showed up on time to tear the old driveway out and do the prep work for the asphalt that would arrive the next day. They worked fast and efficiently. James was there to make sure it was all being done as it should. Same thing the next when they put the asphalt down. We are so, so happy with the new driveway. It was done exactly as we were told it would be and they were mindful of the health of the roots of a tree that's next to the driveway. It looks wonderful and they even angled an area for water to run off. We have a couple more big projects on the To-Do list and will absolutely have Juggs back to do them

The project was a long narrow driveway shared with two other neighbors. We had to do a combination of concrete and asphalt because of the grade in the drive. They coordinated each section well and worked ahead of schedule. Jesse also helped arrange delivery and installation of rocks for ground cover near the asphalt around our house. - Joe's Paving Co IncThis work was done in Borrego Springs so the cost reflects transportation from San Diego. Work of a similar size in town should be cheaper. Joe's Paving got back to me in a couple of days after my initial phone inquiry. An estimator had visited our property and a drawing was submitted with a contract. This was done by email. I called to find out when the work could be done and he said the next day!! I said fine and was able to sign and date the contract, scan it, and email back to him that day. I drove out to our property that day to be there the next morning to observe the work. Two trucks towing a backhoe/grader and a roller arrived at 8:00 AM as planned and four workers started grading. A dump truck came half-hour later with the gravel. Then about an hour later another truck came with the hot asphalt mix. The grader spread this out then workers did more by hand. They rollered it with a moderate size CAT machine and by 11:00 AM using four workers and two other trucks and drivers they were done! It looked great and I was impressed. This company has the equipment and man-power to do a good job

He wasnt the cheapest but they had a better vibe compared to the other companies that came out. They made an appt to repair after they got the go-ahead and I wasnt there to see what happened but the next day I was driving on a new driveway and my car wasnt off roading like it was before. I never thought I would ever look for a concrete person but it was very easy

Their estimate was very reasonable. On the day the work was done they were on site at the agreed-upon time. They went right to work with proper equipment that appeared to be well-maintained. The crew of 7 men worked very well together and seemed competent at what they were doing. When they finished, everything was cleaned up in a very reasonable amount of time. They were considerate of our wishes such as protecting a commemorative wishing well within the area. All the men were polite and friendly to us. Their work at our house was noticed by a county worker who came to our house the next day asking about them because he is needing similar work done and he was impressed by the job done at our house

<br /> I found them on Angie's List. Contacted Joshua and he was fantastic. He replied quickly. Came down to do free estimate on a whim even though he was traveling from quite a distance. He wasnt egotistical like the other three companies I got estimates for. The estimate was not the least expensive but it was the most thorough leaving me little to question. I left him hanging for months due to other issues that came up on my rental properties. I finally got back to him and he responded quickly with little hesitation to schedule the job. They showed up on time and got it done in one day. Put out my tenants for a short time and allowed them to park the next day.
