This month marks the 20th anniversary of the #VA telehealth program—celebrating 20 years of connecting rural & other remote Veterans to VA care, and 20 years of continual innovation.
Veterans have served and sacrificed for our country, and they deserve the very best.
VA is currently delivering more care and more benefits to more Veterans than ever before – and this deal will help us continue to do exactly that.
The agreement also exempts Veterans from SNAP work requirements – making food assistance more broadly available to those who have served our nation.
If passed, VA will work with
Speaker McCarthy and I reached a bipartisan budget agreement that will prevent the worst possible crisis – a default for the first time in our nation’s history.
This deal is good news for the American people.
I strongly urge Congress to pass the agreement right away.
Every freedom we enjoy today is made possible by our men and women in uniform. On Memorial Day, I invite you to join me in pausing to remember, honor and express gratitude to our fellow Americans who lost their lives while wearing that uniform.
