The agreement also exempts Veterans from SNAP work requirements – making food assistance more broadly available to those who have served our nation.
If passed, VA will work with and Congress to get Vets the assistance they need.

This bipartisan budget agreement delivers on our nation’s promise to care for Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors.
I thank and Congressional leaders for getting this deal done – and I urge its swift passage.

2/2 Vet Centers were formed by Vietnam Veterans, for Veterans. Initially called Operation Outreach, these Veteran-run centers were on the cutting edge of peer-to-peer talk therapy. It was an honor to recognize their continued impact on new generations.
