Recent Review:
I really wanted to give these guys 5 stars but there were just too many little issues. Our project involved redoing our bathroom floor which meant taking out all the bathroom fixtures and reinstalling new ones. They said they were a flooring and construction company so they could handle all the work beyond just the floors. We ultimately had to pay to have a plumber come in and figure out why the toilet continued to wobble after they reinstalled it and had already come back out once to fix it, and why the pipes under the sink continued to leak. We discovered that they used cheap parts and some of the work was not done properly or to code, which was extremely disappointing and we ended up paying $800+ to another plumber to make sure everything was done right and we wouldn't have recurring issues. We've definitely worked with worse contractors and overall these guys were nice and would come back out when we identified issues after the project was completed, they just weren't able to adequately complete parts of the work and the quality of the work was not the best.

The issue I had was with the team of installers. We paid a 100% premium to the installers due to our 2nd floor condominium. From the very beginning the installers made it abundantly clear they did not want to do the job no matter how much extra they got. Upon arrival they stopped people in front of our building and asked them if they knew us. One of our neighbors came to our door saying someone was looking for us out on the sidewalk. Our phone number was clearly displayed on the installers paper work!!! Fortunately the quality of the work performed is good, so far. However quality work is not worth the aggravation of being treated badly by the employees of the company.

I was out of the city at the time, and my apartment had a serious leak. It was a strained circumstance, but Hometown responded quickly. I was anxious since they explained everything via the telephone. They walked me through it with photographs and video conferencing, were gentle and knowledgeable, and I eventually learned to believe Steve and his team. They quickly disinfected liquid and repaired all of the ruined sections. They proved trustworthy and professional. Subsequently, they took pictures for my insurance agency, making it simple to make a claim. It was a difficult circumstance, but Hometown Restoration ended up taking excellent attention from me. I strongly recommend them, but I hope I never have to contact them a second time.
