  Gustavo was absolutely GREAT and AMAZING !! He was very professional and did an amazing job with water damage remediation and all of the drywall installation and insulation and painting. He worked closely with me on identifying causes of water leaks and suggested different options to remedy the water damage in the most efficient and cost effective way. He was always meticulous and paid close attention to all the small details and addressed them very efficiently. He was always on time and finished the project on planned schedule and even helped with the insurance adjuster.   Overall we had a great experience with A&D Exteriors. After the past winter (2013-2014) it was time for us to have our roof replaced. We contact about 6 companies (three in the area and three off of Angie's List). Gene from A&D Exteriors came by at the scheduled time and went explained everything about the process. He was very upfront and honest about the services and costs that they would be providing. They also contract out to this service that uses Google Maps to get a better reading of the roof size to judge materials. That way they don't over order what they actually need. One other interesting point was when the supplies would be delivered on the day of the job, they would put them directly on the roof (versus the driveway). That way the crew wouldn't have to worry about carrying materials up to the work area. It was little things like that which made the company stick out in our minds above the others. In additional to replacing the roof I had also asked to get some additional insulation blown into the attic. One other nice thing about them is you don't pay them a cent until after the work is completed. The crew showed up on the scheduled day and got right to work. They made sure to put tarps down all around the perimeter of the house. We have an in-ground pool in our backyard, so I was concerned about materials getting in there, as well as anything falling on the pool equipment on the side of the house (pump, filter, etc). The crew made sure to cover up these areas to prevent any damage, and nothing ended up in the pool. They started around 7-8am tearing off the old roof, and a separate crew came by to put in the insulation during the morning. The entire job was completed by 3:30pm and our roof looks great. The crew also went around the house a few times with a metal roller to pick up loose materials. They did an excellent job of cleaning up the work site, however there was some loose insulation left on our front lawn. One minor thing that came up was some of the insulation that was blown in ended up in our basement (but through no real fault of theirs). The ducts in our house go all the way up to the attic so it was just a side effect of the work. However one of their staff came over to the house a few days later (we had to coordinate the day) and cleaned it all up. Again this wasn't their fault that it happened, and they scheduled with us to get it cleaned up. The same person had come by a day or two earlier to do another clean up pass around the house (and to clean up the insulation that was on the lawn). Gene came by a few days after that (he purposely waited until we had some days of rain) to make sure everything was fine on our end and collect his payment. I took a "point" off for responsiveness, but more from a communication side. I think the communication between them and us could have been a bit better. It would typically take a day or two to hear back from anyone regarding questions, dates, etc. In most cases that was ok, but getting closer to the work date (and actually trying to pin down the date) the communication could be a bit better. Also, on the day of the actual job the crew never really said that they were done and leaving. I just happened to be outside and saw them heading to their cars. And then I didn't know when the dumpster was going to get picked up. I think these are minor issues that can be improved upon. Again we had a GREAT experience with this company and would certainly recommend them to other homeowners without hesitationshow more

  Old owners had roof replaced in June 2013 and we bought home in August. Then in winter like many in Midwest we also had ice damming issue, Contractor that old owners use had closed company and we had no where to go. So I looked at Angie's list and sent email to A&D Exteriors since they were best rated. I got a prompt email response from Gene Rathbone from A&D. I spoke with him very next day. I explained him issue and he immediately told me that this may not be an issue due to roof but poor insulation or because of bad winter. But still I insisted on him to come over and look. After setting up a date, Gene came to my home yesterday. He came late from other appointment because of work but he still came. He looked over roof carefully and also came inside attic with me. He said that roof is in a good shape and does not need to be replaced at least for 20 years. He also suggested few tips on how to decrease heat in attic during winter by installing power vent fan and opening up soffit. But unfortunately A&D does not replace soffit. Earlier I spoke with couple of roofers who were saying we had hailstorm and roof is in bad shape and need to be replaced. They were ready to share my insurance cost. But I wanted to take opinion from some reliable reputed company. So I contacted A&D since they were best rated. Even though this means he will not make business he gave us advice. He made a trip specially to inspect roof even though he knew roof is probably good. Even to make up somehow for him some money or offered to buy him dinner but he politely declined. So whenever I have to do roof, I am definitely calling Gene from A&D. My advice to someone who is reading reviews, please please do not follow what those storm chaser roofers. They are here only ripoff and cheat you and insurance co. Call only reliable company like A&D Exteriors. Gene Rathbone has definitely earned my respect. Thanks Yogesh Ajmirshow more

  They did a really good job. I think it was relatively pretty fast that they came. It was within the next few days I think. From what I remember, they responded very promptly as soon as I signed up for the deal. I think I got right away from them and we were able to schedule something right after.

  The workers showed up early and started late, quit only when raining, but went straight back to work when rain stopped. Slight language barrier, but not really a problem. Very professional, friendly and a nice job.

  I hired Envy to construct a brand new, roughly 180 square foot four-season sunroom. After receiving an estimate from a different contractor, we decided on Envy after meeting with Adam for a free examination of our area and estimate provided on the spot. The multiple construction options and materials promised all appeared high-end. Sunroom options were plentiful in all of his available photos. I work from home and could see Envy's workers from start to finish (while trying not to bother them and let them work). From digging the foundation and pouring concrete, to laying beams, to installing high-end quality vinyl screens and windows, to building the new roof into my existing home roof, to the final step of installing a PTAC HVAC system, Envy's work met or exceeded all expectations. The project was completed just a few weeks later than we originally discussed but with the large amounts of rain we had in the spring, it was understandable that there were delays. Adam and project manager Yancy were great with communications and total pros every step of the way. There were cheaper options out there, but I honestly don't know how any other company or contractor could have done a better job. I hope to never move again and am so happy I have such a quality sunroom to spend the majority of my home time in. Bottom line: My sunroom looks absolutely magnificent and my wife and I could not be happier. I'm bursting with excitement to just sit in it looking at the trees in my yard, or watch the snow fall this wintershow more
