WATCH: Trump lawyer warns Democrats weaponizing justice system can ‘come full circle’

Former President Donald Trump's lawyer Joe Tacopina warned Democrats that attempts to weaponize the justice system could “come full circle.”

“What is good for the goose is good for the gander,” Tacopina told Life, Liberty & Levin. “Eventually, it’s going to come full circle.”

GOP-LED HOUSE PANEL TO USE INVESTIGATIVE POWERS AND ‘RESPOND’ TO POTENTIAL TRUMP INDICTMENT

Tacopina blasted Manhattan Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s possible indictment of Trump, calling it “ridiculous.”

“In this day and age now, especially anything with Donald Trump because he’s done such a great job for people in this country,” Tacopina said, “because of that, so many people on the other side of that equation, on the far Left, hate him for it and don’t want him back in office. They are using this ridiculous allegation as a weapon.”

Tacopina’s comments come as several reports suggest Bragg is preparing to indict Trump on charges related to the investigation into alleged hush-money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

“There’s no crime,” Tacopina added, suggesting that Bragg’s office is hoping “a New York jury would never acquit Donald Trump.” “That is really scary and something that a prosecutor should never do.”

Tacopina asserted that if there was a case to be tried, charges would have been brought against Trump when his former attorney Michael Cohen pleaded guilty in 2018 to violating federal campaign finance law related to a $130,000 payment to Daniels.

On Sunday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) vowed that Republicans will investigate the use of federal funds by Bragg in an effort to determine any abuse of power by the district attorney.
