Emiko Jozuka is a Field Producer for CNN, based in the network's Tokyo bureau. She is responsible for producing key stories from Japan and across the APAC region.

She previously worked as a producer for CNN Digital Worldwide covering international politics, human rights, culture, and technology, based in Hong Kong.

Jozuka received a grant from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting in 2018 to produce a series of cross-platform features on Japan's demographic crisis. Two of her stories, written for CNN Style and CNN Business, were honoured with awards from the Automotive Heritage Foundation in America.

Before joining CNN, Jozuka covered business, culture, technology and science for WIRED UK. She also produced and wrote for VICE Motherboard, where she spearheaded the launch of a column about Japan, as well as a column about the intersection of technology and international development.

Between 2010 and 2012, Jozuka lived in Turkey where she reported for the Hurriyet Daily News and Economic Review. She also worked as a freelance multimedia journalist covering human rights, migration, environment and culture, from the predominantly Kurdish region of southeast Turkey. She reported on the repercussions of the conflict in Syria along the Turkish-Syrian border.

Outside of journalism, Jozuka curates photography exhibitions and has been on production crews in the indie Kurdish film scene. She completed her undergraduate with a BA Honors in French, Spanish and Portuguese Language, Literature and Film from the University of Cambridge and a Masters in Visual, Material and Museum Anthropology at Oxford University. Jozuka is fluent in English, French, Japanese, Spanish, and Turkish.
