RUDE TO ASK SALARY? At the end of my pre-anesthetic evaluation, I asked my patient, “Do you have any questions?” And to my surprise he asked me what my salary is!!!
So I’ll go ahead and answer (sort of 😂). Anesthesia base salaries are variable depending on experience, expertise, location, and other factors.
On top of base pay, we sometimes get paid extra for doing extra work like taking call shifts or for administrative duties. Some jobs also pay incentive pay for high productivity.
