Michael from Skyline did a full assessment and found that the top of my chimney was crumbling, many of the bricks were broken and the mortar was deteriorating almost all the way down the chimney! He took pictures of the top of the chimney to further explain the issues and showed me exactly where the repairs needed to be made. Due to all the broken bricks, the interior clay flue lining was also in disrepair. He and his crew worked professionally to repair all the bricks, patch up mortar holes and install a metal flue liner to prevent further degradation of the clay flue liner. "We have a historical restoration building in downtown Washington, D.C. We had sent out nationally 75 bids for period construction and historical restoration work. This job included replication or historical tiles in all bathrooms and also replication of historical tiles in all hallways. Also the replication/repair of period wooden windows, which were rotted, also floors needed structural repairs made. There was a large amount of decorative plaster relief work, which had to be repaired, and molds made to replicate areas that were non-existent. The exterior had a great deal of masonry repair work which included repointing of all brick and stone work. Also included in the exterior of this job was stone carvings that needed repair/replacement.
