"We hired Beltway Builders to repair our brick porch and install a waterproof system for our deck. The first team installed a drainage system and flooring to our deck to prevent water from draining down on the porch below. The second team repaired the drainage system to the porch, replaced the sand and reinforced the retainer wall. The porch and deck was completed and exceeded our expectations. The work was completely in less than a week. Dave Collins met with us twice before the work began to explain the process and go over the contract and he kept us abreast of the starting date of the job which was delayed due to the weather. "I've done a lot of renovations since the 80s, working with contractors good and not so. Hands-down the best by far has been Willie Ratliff and his company All Things New LLC, recently converting a garage to an office / studio. He, his crew, and all subcontractors did exceptional work, clearly enjoying doing a good job and taking pride in it. Willie himself is an excellent listener, always open to questions, suggestions, and reasonable changes, gives solid advice. He really wants a happy customer. He and all of his crew were professional, personable, and easy to have around, and the problems that arise in any project were handled quickly and gracefully. My wife and I actually missed having them here after they finished. When the work started, they were on it five days a week, showing up punctually and staying with it through the day: no other jobs interfered. Then they cleaned up really well every day. I also like that they use high quality tools and know how to operate them. The project was completed very close to schedule, running only one day over, and the cost was exactly as shown on the estimates. All changes made during the project were noted and recorded on the day they happened, and all invoices and receipts were emailed punctually. All money dealings were straightforward and negotiated in good faith without anything odd. Willie Ratliff is an ethical man. He and all of his workers are skilled, friendly, polite, fun and hard-working...truly exceeding expectations. As long as I'm living in or near Baltimore, I will hire no one else."

"Our job request was for the installation of two custom-built cabinets for our dining room. Doing my due diligence, I got four estimates from local contractors, ranging from a very large regional company, to a friend-of-a-friend. EMC sent their agent Mark to look over the job. Out of the four estimates we got, Mark spent the most time with us, going over possible electrical changes such as moving wall switches, outlets and an HVAC vent. He considered plaster patching and painting and trim work. He went into the basement to see the wiring and vent configurations. He estimated how long the job would take and promised a written estimate the next day. He did not try to upsell or push for work that we did not need. The next day, I had an estimate in my inbox, with a thorough scope of work. We selected EMC for the job and we could not be happier. Mark uncrated the delivered cabinets and set to work. He is a perfectionist and a problem-solver. He's neat, personable and diligent. In three days, my dining room had two new butler's pantries that looked as though they were original to the 1930's house. I'll tell you one thing. If (and when) we have need for future contractor services, we will use EMC again. It was a great experience."

Drew from Stronghold Plumbing and Drain Cleaning quickly responded, and in less than 10 minutes determined the problem was beyond the exterior clean out. He called the County for me, who responded within the hour and cleared the blockage.
