Comment: So I am looking to build a large detached garage behind my home. There is currently a 30x30ft RV slab in the backyard already attached to the driveway. I was looking to have the slab slightly extended and leveled to be about 32x30 or maybe even 32x36 depending on cost. Looking to do 10 or 12 foot walls I know my max building height is limited to 24 ft.
From what I saw when looking at the zoning for Arlington I think I have to have a wooden framed building, but if I can do a steel building that would be awesome I am just not sure if it would be allowed. If the detached garage has to be framed I don't know how much of it would need to be brick ( I think just to front to match the house).
Finally depending on the final size either 2 or 3 10x10ft garage doors. and maybe some windows. There is an above ground power wire already going above where the building would go, so getting power to the building should be easy, I would like it to have its own breaker box.
