- Baker Elman PlumbingI called Baker Elman Plumbing for an estimate and spoke with David about the project. After the call I emailed him pictures of the existing water heater and boiler set up. He arranged to have Steve out the next day to measure the radiators and do heat loss calculations. Of the three firms I called, Baker Elman were the only ones to check that boiler was properly sized before putting together the price. Once confirmed, they sent over the estimate and we scheduled the work. The work crew was punctual for the appointment and started working right away. The team was very professional. They kept the work area neat, cleaned up after themselves and had the heat back on the by the end of the day. The team came back a second to install the radiator which also went well. All in all the work went smoothly and we have plenty of hot water and a tank with a great warranty. The potential house had a well and the seller provided us with water test results. Based on some of the findings, we knew a specialist would be needed to help understand implications of the finding and if remediation would work and approximate cost. The owner spent time on the phone with us educating on typical issues in the town we were looking to purchase, what questions to ask of sellers realtor, and approximate cost of the repairs. While we didn’t ultimately win the bid on the house, we respected and appreciated the time the owner of this location took to help us. We will use them again in the future
