Description of Work: Do not use this pest control company Ray one of their employees was spraying for bedbugs on 8-10-16 so we were instructed to leave the house for a few hours when we returned home we noticed a few prescription pills missing we did not accuse him at first. The very next day Ray returned explaining that he forgot to spray the closet in the bedroom that he would need a few minutes to finish spraying as soon as he left the second time more of the same prescription pills were missing 25 in total I should have filed a police report but I chose not to.today 8-14-16 Ray returned explaining he Lost some sort of tool and he was hoping to find it in the same room the prescription pills vanished from I let him know I knew it was him that stole the Pills and of course he denied everything I find that extremely hard to believe I really regret not filing a police report please do not use this company

I never have to worry about my pets or children. Ben, the technician that we've worked with, has been great.

Description of Work: Sealed vents, put down poison to control squirrels in the roof of our garage, and prevent rats entering the crawl space.

+ -1 moreThis is a company I have been using for over ten years. I've always been very happy with them. This last time that I used them, I had to have them come back three times after their initial visit, as they have a guarantee on their services. I was not charged for the additional services and I like that about them. They are very professional and they get the job done, as they will come back to get it the second and third time. They listen to you when they tell you the treatment is not working, as they are very responsive.
Description of Work: I called them to deal with an ant infestation, and ended up contracting them to do the job.

+ 0 moreI am very pleased that Ben took care walking on my tile roof so as not to break any tiles. He also took extra precautions with the ladder so as not to scratch my hardwood floors. His shoes were cleaned before he entered the house and always gives a curtesy knock while entering the house. He guaranteed his work and promised to return as long as it would take to remove rodents from my attic for the price quoted. He also sealed up gaps in my roof where rats were entering with steel mesh and installed my chimney spark arrester. Thanks a Bunch, D and J! So far no rats in the house!
Description of Work: Ben showed up promptly on time and immediately went to work finding out where rats were getting into the attic /or foundation of my house. He set traps and within a few nights caught the rat that was knawing through the walls at 2 a.m. Ben made regular calls thereafter during the day to see if I had heard any traps go off during the night. He has made several visits and calls to make sure he has eradicated the rodent problem. So far so good.

+ -1 moreI have used them several times and they have done an excellent job for me every time they came out. They are very responsive, very thorough, very conscientious and careful of application of pesticides. They listen to me and I never had to call them back for the same problem.

+ -1 moreIt worked great for about 6 months, but after that, the ants started coming back and were getting back into the house in between every visit. The service guarantee requires the company to come back for free in between services, but the eventually we were having to call them every two weeks and the number of times I had to take time off work to meet them and let them in the house was not worth it. Over time, they got increasingly bad at returning calls and were extremely rude on the phone. Several times, we asked them to try something other than just spray the perimeter and baseboards. They refused to look under the house or look in the attic where we are certain the ants have nests. We finally fired them and used over the counter ant bait and Raid. We haven't seen an ant since.
Description of Work: We had a chronic ant problem. Inside and Out. Our landlord had sent an exterminator twice who sprayed the perimeters of the house but within days the ants would be back. D&J came out and sprayed inside and out with a 2 month guarantee. We've signed up for the bi-monthly service for $70.

+ -1 moreCall them and they responded immediately. They established service and serviced my warehouse monthly or as needed for about a year. Kept the pests out. They did a good job with the pest control but not with the record keeping as we have special needs in our business. I would recommend if you wanted to work with nice guys who know how to keep the pests away... but not for food establishments.

+ -1 moreHe came out again and this time, it appeared the wasps were coming from the heating system. He offered to spray again, but we declined and they gave us a referral to an air duct company with camera equipment to look for the nest in the air duct. They offered to come out a third time and spray again. They did not charge anything, which was very nice of them, since I had to call the air duct company to come look for and remove the nest. The people at the company seemed very knowledgeable, helpful and easygoing. They were willing to spend time talking to us and explaining things, as well as come out to the house.
Description of Work: Wasps coming out from heating system in a 2 story house. Dave came out to the house 2 times. First time he tried to determine what the pest was (bee, wasp) and where it was coming from, looked for a nest, etc. It was hard to tell, but we thought it was coming from the exhaust fan above the kitchen stove and he sprayed. He said he'd come out again if more wasps appeared.

+ -1 moreThe technician John was very professional. Arrived at the agreed upon time. He went into the attic and set 3 snap traps as well as removed one old dead rat. He also went about the exterior of my residence looking for any entry points (this included a thorough inspection of the roof). He also gave advice on what to do to reduce a favorable living habitat for the rats. Unfortunately, on no fault of his no rats had appeared in his second follow up visit a week later. Although a month later 2 rats were caught in 2 of the 3 traps he had set which I had to remove.
Description of Work: I had rat issues in my attic and called D & J Pest Control for a one time visit to set traps and just overall see where they could be coming from. This is in a one story residence. I wanted to understand if there were obvious entry points that I had failed to cover up and prevention methods I could further take.

Description of Work: We had a serious rat infestation problem. I called D&J because of their high Angie's list rating and they were good. They baited and trapped and then secured the entry spots so no more rodents could enter our walls. They charged a fixed price (in our case $600 because we have an enormous house, essentially three stories) but you don't pay until the rats are eliminated. They will follow up for a year without additional charge should the problem recur. We went from hearing veritable rat parties in our ceilings and walls to complete silence in a very short period of time. They did a great job. Ben, who was the technician assigned to us, was pleasant and responsible I would use this company again for any kind of pest control problem. They are a small business, and you get personal and personalized service unlike the big nation-wide chains.

+ -1 moreI had an excellent experience with this company. I have had no problems with rats since. They were quick to come out and get to work on the problem. The work was great. The people were courteous and diligent. They got rid of the rats and sealed up the house so no more could enter.
