When we got no response from the first electrician we contacted, we did an online search and came upon Skyline Electric, which appeared to have outstanding reviews. We needed an electrician quickly in order to install recessed lighting on our main level before new insulation was put in our attic. Jeff, the owner, responded immediately by email giving us a quote for the amount of work we needed done. Jeff quickly added our project to their schedule. David, from Skyline, showed up as scheduled a few days later and helped us make decisions about the number and placement of lights. David was knowledgeable about spacing, how to avoid shadows, etc. David explained the type of lights he thought would work best, but also informed us of other options. At the last minute, we decided to add recessed lights to another room. David accommodated this request even though it meant purchasing additional lights and a switch for this room. David and his assistant were able to complete the entire job in one day and did a good job of cleaning up. We ended up with a total of fifteen new recessed lights in three rooms. We are happy with the results of the new lighting and would recommend this company

Tom is wonderful to do business with. He is a true professional and a great person! Had a need for some better lighting in a home office so I contacted Tom. We scheduled an appointment for him to stop by, gather the necessary info and later provide an estimate. He arrived at the scheduled time and began his thorough look-over of my situation. I knew this was going to be a challenging installation -- I wan't certain it could even be done -- and was immediately put at ease with Tom's thorough look over. He had considered everything and when he felt comfortable with what he was looking at he left and produced his cost estimate several days later at the agreed upon time. He wasn't the cheapest but he wasn't the most expensive. Confident he could perform the work, I give the go-ahed and we scheduled a time for the installation. Tom arrived on time the day of installation and immediately began laying down protective floor & room coverings. All set to do his work he began the preliminary work of recessed-can placement. We began with discussing hoped-for recessed-can placement and when that was completed Tom started to do his electrical forensics. It's not only a matter of where I'd like the fixtures to go; It's also a matter of where they're ABLE to go. And it's that last point that created the greatest challenge. Tom would carefully diagnose the space above our finished ceiling and rather quickly determine if there's an obstacle lurking above which prevents a recessed can installation. Not only was the placement of the cans a challenge but so too was how the wiring could be snaked about above this finished ceiling. Well, to make a long story short, after considerable care and diagnosis was completed Tom was confident on where the cans could be placed and how he was going to run his wiring. He was spot-on and when the holes were cut in the ceiling each (four in all) were free and clear allowing for the successful installation of these four recessed lights and switch. Total time needed for this work was around 5 hours which is simply amazing considering the complexity of what was done. Tom's service is excellent and I will definitely be contacting him for any future electric needs

This was the second of two contractors from Angie's List that I contacted for an estimate. The first one quoted an outragiously high price. After selecting Nordeast Electric, all I can say is this was the most incredible experience I've ever had with a contractor! These guys are fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about them. From the estimate to the finished project, it was well beyond all my expectations! Angie's List hit a grand slam home run with this recommendation. For the estimate, Bill was very knowledgeable, honest, and clear on what needs to be done, what the best solution was, how long it will take to complete, and the cost of the project. Then on the day of the work, Bob showed up on time and ready to go. He put canvas over the carpeting to keep it clean and got right to work. He got the permit, installed the lights and wired them per code. There was an unforeseen problem; however, that required extensive troubleshooting by Bob. The wiring had a short somewhere in the system and Bob performed miracles to locate it and solve the problem. He worked tirelessly until all was perfect. The lights turned out amazing and Bill honored his original estimate even though Bob had to troubleshoot an unexpected problem and do extra work as a result. Bob is also an extremely nice guy, very hard worker, and a perfectionist who insists the job is done right regardless of any roadblocks. Bottom line is Bob ensures the finished product is perfect. Bob and Bill are unquestionably the most competent professionals I've ever worked with...by a long shot! They are examples of integrity, honesty, and true professionalism. I just can't say enough good things about Bob and Bill. Nordeast Electric reflects the very best Angie's List has to offer. What a great discovery! I will never use another electrical contractor other than Nordeast Electric

This is the second time we use Stafford. We did not even go get a second estimate from others to compare. Kris came out and did an estimate of the job and then we were in contact with Tammy on scheduling. everything went smoothly. Steve did the job. he is very careful and thorough. He asked questions to confirm we are fine with his layout before making the holes in the ceiling. The layout was not as perfect as we originally thought but that's due to where the vents were laid out in the ceiling. We opted for the energy saving CFL lights and the trims Steve originally put in were a little small and all the bulbs stuck out. We raised concerns with Kris and he promptly ordered some new trims that he said might work well with cfl bulbs. And they did work. When we ask him if he could change the recessed light trims they did a year ago to this kind of new trims, Kris agreed without hesitation. Overall, we are very happy with everyone we interacted with at Stafford and will use them in the future if something comes up

THEY CAME OUT WITHIN AN HOUR OF THE PHONE CALL AND BROUGHT A FIXTURE ALONG. THERE WAS NOT AN EXISTING FIXTURE WHERE THEY INSTALLED THE FIXTURE. THE WORK WAS VERY NEAT AND THEY CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS. THE PROCESS TOOK ONLY HALF AN HOUR, SO IT WAS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE FOR THE TIME INVOLVED, BUT THEY RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY AND DID A GOOD JOB. THE PRICE INCLUDED THE LIGHT FIXTURE

I had a recessed light that could not be removed, It was stuck and the whole unit would turn. The electrician had to break the bulb to remove it. He vacuumed up any stray pieces. He was courteous and very reasonable and left me with his card.
