Ecology Air Innovations Inc.Mark had called me because I had requested a quote for a service regarding my broken thermostat. I failed at installing a Nest thermostat. I turned off the wrong breaker and caused a spark. After installation, the unit was not receiving any power. I had a rival company quote me $85 for the service visit and potentially another $150 for a replacement transformer. Mark let me know that it was most likely a blown fuse that I could replace myself for a couple dollars. He instructed me that I would most likely have to just find my heater and find the panel with the blown fuse. I was surprised the they weren't trying to get some easy money and charge me for such an easy fix. Marc was right though. I was able to get into my attic and find the blown fuse. The fuse was less than $5 at an appliance repair store, and I was able to fix it myself! Based on this experience, I trust this company completely and will be going to them for any future needs. Marc seems to be an honest and experienced guy. For that reason, I think, they deserve your business. If you have a choice to go with this company or another for your repair, know that you'll be taken care of properly here.- Paulo N.

Huft Heating & Air Conditioning IncMy 36-year-old heating and air conditioning system, which was original to my home, had been on borrowed time for some while. I researched and got bids from four local companies. I needed a new heat pump and air handler at least, but I also wanted to replace the insulation and duct work since it too was old and I had had some rodent issues in my attic some years ago. Insulation upgrades also qualify for additional SMUD rebates. Not only was Huft's bid the lowest, but my Bosch system is more energy efficient than any of the other systems quoted me and whisper quiet. From the salesman Glenn to the installation lead Tever and the insulation installer Anthony, I was impressed with their level of punctuality, courtesy, and professionalism throughout the process. In fact, Glenn was the only salesman who actually took the time to take measurements at my house and explained the numbers of why I needed a three-ton system. I am very happy with my system thus far and I would highly recommend Huft to others!- George P.

Todd's Repair & ConstructionI contacted multiple vendors and chose TRC based on their cost and professionalism. They replaced our entire HVAC system (gas furnace/air conditioner). They resized our return vents and ran new ducting to accommodate our new system. They sealed and insulated the entire system and existing ducts to ensure efficiency. From first contact through the final city inspection, they were knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and responsive. They had great communication and walked us through the whole process, including coordination of loan with SMUD, city permits, and inspections. Affordable Air CareVery quick to respond (~20 minutes from my Angie’s list application!). He called and said he could be there within a couple hours. Once he arrived he quickly diagnosed the issue and had our heater up and running within an hour. And it runs much better now. Poorly. This vendor is a pure rip off artist. I had to drive 400 miles and fix it myself. I will never use them or Angie list again.. They tried to sell me a whole new unit even after I told them I was in this business for 20 years. DO NOT HIRE THEM!! They said the heat exchanger was no good causing flame roll out. All it was needed was a coil cleaning!!!

He showed up & within minutes had the problem diagnosed! He didn't try to upsell at all! The repair was done & he was gone within 60 min ! We were extremely impressed with his knowledge, he offered great tips to help maximize the cool in our home (which had several add ons and only certain rooms were cooled) . The technician disassembled my Honeywell air purifier system and left the door off and filters out in the attic without telling me. The technician stated there were no issues with the attic ducting, and even wrote on the work order "Duct work in good shape". I found 7 breaches in the duct system and repaired them when I checked for myself. The technician charged to change out the system filter, which I had purchased independently. The technician took it upon himself to wash and service the outside condenser, when his work order clearly says "Duct Bid". The technician was cursing under his breath in front of my girlfriend and her son after I told him over the phone he needed to return and recheck the attic duct system. He said he didnt know what he was supposed to be checking in the first place.
