Featured Service Pros
"I watched Eric and his crew working on a nearby homeowner's house, and eventually asked him to look at a project that I had. Even though my project was much less extensive, Eric treated it as if it were just as important to him. Equally impressive was his giving me a written bid, entailing all the work to be done, starting and completing the work when he said that he would. When I told neighbors of the work done and the price paid, they were also very impressed. I plan to hire Pro Painters again."

Service Pros
"Projects: Popcorn ceiling removal, ceiling refinishing, drywall repair, replacing baseboard and door trim, full interior painting, trim painting, door painting, replacing bathtub caulking, and more. Review: I highly recommend Eduardo and the 4 Seasons Right Services team! I will hire them again for all my future projects! Pros: - The whole team takes a lot of pride in their work. - Full-service remodeling and handyman -- they can do pretty much anything. They are especially good at drywall repairs, mudding, ceilings, and painting! - Extremely detail-oriented. They proactively pointed out and fixed a lot of tiny details that I didn't even notice. (Things I missed even though I'm a designer!) - Trustworthy. I gave them my keys and full access to my home for a month. I never received any complaints about them from my neighbors, too. - Considerate of your home and careful to protect your floors, walls, etc. - They put down extra coverings to keep your home clean, and they clean up after the job is done. They don't leave a mess that you have to clean up yourself. - Can sometimes do work on weekends. - Reasonable prices, accurate estimates, and honor their original prices. No unexpected charges at the end. - Good communication, pleasant attitude, good sense of humor, and friendly with other residents. Built a good relationship with my building management. - Support family-owned small local businesses! Cons: - The estimated price for services might be in the middle-to-high end of the quotes you receive. However, they're extremely reasonable prices for everything you get. They will go above-and-beyond to deliver quality results. They did a lot of extra small fixes and touch-ups beyond the original proposed scope of work, and they didn't nickle-and-dime me for every little change. They actually SAVED me money on some of my other projects!"

Tina and her company were hired to paint our house. She showed up on time and gave us a quote for the project; she was professional and very confident. Her manager estimated to complete the job in less than a week. After three weeks we were notified that the job is completed. During the inspection I noticed multiple paint spillages around the work area, brush strokes, uneven areas of paint, streaks, and blemishes. I was told that someone will come and finish the job because â they never walk away from the jobâ . Multiple phone calls and emails later they finally admitted that the job was done poorly and promised to paint the walls and the ceilings again. Two weeks later they put another coat of paint, however they left multiple dried paint drippings all over the place, including our newly installed floors. In the light construction will cost you time, money and possibly your sanity. Do not waste your money. I have no idea how the company is still in business. Valerie R (5 stars) 03/13/2021 Tina and her team helped me in remodeling my condo. She kept in touch through out the project on anything that needs my attention. Tina and her team rewired my kitchen to put in my new appliances. She put in new bedrock, baring wall, and surrounding wall for my new tub. Tina and her team removed the remaining hardware for the old iron stove. Then went up on the roof to cut it off and replaced part of the ceiling. Her team painted, put in new doors and new carpet. Tina and her team went above and beyond to help me with my condo. I am so grateful. Anyone who uses In The Light Construction Management are lucky to have someone who is up front on the labor and price. You will not find that with any other Construction Company."

What to Seek When Employing a Painting Contractor
While there may be lots of painting professionals in Bellevue, they won’t all meet your house painting requirements. Take steps when vetting painting contractors to make sure that the potential companies on your short list meet your needs.
One of the first steps to take is to research the professional prior to reach out to them. Browse reviews, view the information on the painting business’s webpage, and look over its social media profiles. You can gain a lot of info doing this research, including how the company behaves towards customers, what type of jobs the professional does, and whether clients in the past were happy with the service done for them.
When you reach out to painting companies, ask whether or not they have the right certifications. This changes by state, so check with your state’s business licensing board for more information. For instance, in some states, businesses that provide painting work must have a license beneath the building construction classification.
It’s also smart to ask professionals about insurance. Always hire painting professionals that provide insurance for employees, equipment, and liability for damages if anything goes wrong on the job that may be the professional’s accountability because of carelessness.
Finally, guarantee the painting professionals you get quotes from have experience and availability to perform the sort of painting project your house requires. Not all painting businesses do outdoor painting, for instance, while some work exclusively in outdoor house painting and don’t perform interior painting.
Types of Services House Painting Contractors Offer?
Not all home painters perform similar kinds of home painting, so it’s vital to understand what jobs are provided and who you might go to for those services. Some house painters might only paint the outside of houses, while others might only do interior painting. Some may specialize in creative efforts, such as adding decorative accent walls or murals to spaces.
Many residential painting contractors do interior wall painting. At its core, these services consist of priming and painting walls, including edgework, to ensure a professional-looking finish. Some contractors might also paint baseboards, molding, and ceilings, molding, ceilings, and baseboards, but it’s vital to ask and not just assume.
Companies that offer outdoor house painting services paint the outside of houses, including brick, siding, and other surfaces. Check with a professional to make sure it will paint specialty areas if your residence has them.
If you’re searching for a tiny bit more flair, you might want a contractor that does stenciling or other decorative painting. This specialty service might reduce the number of businesses you can work with and raise the cost. It’s especially necessary that you go over a painter’s portfolio to comprehend if they can perform decorative work you’ll be content with.
Offering as many details about your possible project as you can helps painting professionals in Bellevue decide if they may be right for the work and offer a precise estimate.
Frequently asked questions
Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.
We make finding a painter easy. Simple use our directory to find a painter. Here you can browse local pros, check their reviews and do your first screening without ever having to call. We’ve also prescreened all the pros for you, to give you peace of mind.
Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
- Do your research. Understand what to expect and what to look for in a pro. Look at paint types, prices and costs.
- Interior home painting costs $1,000-$2,800
- Exterior painting costs $1,700-$4,100
- Painting a ceiling costs $150-$350
- Painting cabinets costs $350-$1,200
- Trim painting costs $500-$1,500
- Calculate paint coverage
- Call pros for site inspections and estimates. Always get three to five estimates.
- Check references, compare quotes, look at past work. After you have estimates in hand, do one final pass to compare the contractors.
- Sign a contract with the pro of your choice. You might need to make a down payment, usually 25% to 50% of the total project cost to cover material costs, but not all pros require this. Don’t pay for the entire project upfront.
- A complete inspection. Each pro takes a walk around your home to evaluate the condition of your current paint, the size of the job and any obstacles for accessing the site. They do this to see how much prep work they’ll need and estimate how long the job will take. The more thorough the inspection, the more accurate the quote.
- Color consultation. Expect each contractor to have varying color options and suggestions. However, you have the final say.
- Listen to the pro – they’re experts after all – but don’t get pushed into a color combination or finish type that you don’t want. Understand the different exterior paints or interior paint choices before your pro arrives.
- A rough estimate or complete quote. Finishing contractors vary here. Usually, they can quote straightforward projects on the spot. But some may need to take it back to their shop to run numbers and give you a detailed estimate with costs broken out. Neither method is better than the other, but just make sure to get multiple quotes.
- How long have you been in business? A long business history helps you avoid shoddy companies. It’s hard for a service business to stay in business if they don’t do good work.
- Are you licensed and insured? Not all states require a license for painting homes, but many do. Always use one that’s insured.
- Do you belong to any professional organizations? You’ll find many online, like the Painting Contractors Association or the Finishing Contractors Association?
- Do you have other work I can look at? Always check a portfolio or, in the case of painters, it’s better to look at work they did a few years ago to see how well it’s held up.
- How long will the job take? Get a rough estimate but get it in writing.
- How many people are in your crew? This is especially important if you work remotely. More people generally means more noise, but they’ll be done faster.
- Will I be in the way if I’m home during the painting? You usually won’t be in the way, but this question helps you understand what to expect while they’re working. They’ll need to lay down coverings and do a lot of prep work.
- Do you guarantee your work? Never hire a painter who doesn’t guarantee their work. This often means they’ll rush the prep work, since peeling never happens right away.
- What type of paint do you use, and how long is it rated to last? Different rooms need different paint and the exterior needs exterior paint. It comes in different grades with different guaranteed lifetimes.
- Can you supply a written estimate and contract? Never use a painter who isn’t willing to put his work in writing.
