  Simply put, it could not have gone better. From start to finish Pete Fortune was the model of professionalism. Communication was outstanding, pricing was a bit high, but fair. And well within the scope of the other prices we got. The crew was completely professional, efficient, hard working and thorough. They arrived early, left late and worked the entire time they were on site. Each night they cleaned up, leaving no debris or garbage. They checked with us before they left equipment for the week while they were working. They wore haz-mat suits and all the appropriate safety gear all the time, and this was during one of Chicago's 90+ heat waves. They did accidentally knock out a pane of glass in a window, and when we asked about it the next day, the crew chief said that he had picked up a piece of replacement glass the night before after he left our house and would replace it that day. Which he did. The work they did matches the original stucco so well that you can't tell where it is. The job was extensive but they finished it right on time. We even added a little more to the project mid week and still they finished on time. Pete stopped by almost every day to check on the work and to make sure that we were satisfied with how everything was going. We would hire this company again in a minute and we cannot say enough good things about them. They clearly understand customer service as well as quality work. It was a pleasure to work with them.   We had a very positive experience with Handyman Connection in Glen Ellyn, a local business managed by Shad Martin. Shad acts as a contractor who, with folks in his office, arranges and schedules craftspeople to do the work. Work on our house and garage required a painter, carpenter, roofer, and power washer. The work was completed on schedule over the summer and was of very high quality. Communication was very good and the workmen were professional. In the current era of labor shortages, I don’t think we could have found such high quality and dependable workmen on our own. One does pay for these contractor services, of course—but the overall cost was reasonable and presented up front in the contract we signed—there were no surprises when the work was finished. We provided some of the paint and Shad and his team received a large discount (~30%) on materials that they had to purchase, so the cost of supplies was also reasonable. Handyman Connection guarantees the work for one year. We had altogether a positive experience at a reasonable price and we are very pleased with the result.   This company is amazing and have nothing but praise for them. Tony came out for the consultation with all the company's insurance and paperwork. Since it was my first time hiring for a large project, he even gave great advice in what to look for in a company to protect our condo building. Then the team was great, led by Tom. He was extremely courteous and above and beyond to help those in the building having issues removing and putting back in the storm windows, even on his own time. Jessica with billing and information was calling us to let us know of any potential delays due to weather and billing. Everyone in the building commented how great these guys were.
