"So appreciated his focus on making the place more energy efficient! My insulation was so old and no longer served its purpose. My heater was running constantly and I could not keep any cool air in during the summer. Fernando was very professional. He helped me understand what my options were and gave solid recommendations throughout the process. I am so happy with his work and will absolutely keep his information handy in case I need work done in the future. I would highly recommend him!"

"Salesman was on-time & prepared. The scheduled work was completed on schedule. The insulation had an immediate impact on our indoor temperatures. Our only disappointment was the visible and pervasive damage to the interior walls from the tool that forces-in the insulation."

Types of Insulation
Insulation is designed to maintain a stable interior temperature regardless of the outdoor weather. There are four main categories for insulation. The type you choose depends on these factors:
- The square footage of the area
- The type of space
- The effects of your local climate
- Your budget
- Your home's current R-value
(R-value is the capacity of an insulating material to resist heat flow. The higher the R-value, the better it can keep heat in or out.)
Fiberglass batts are the most common and least expensive way to insulate your home. They are installed during construction and renovations before the walls or floors are closed in. Properly installed, it improves the energy efficiency of your home by 25 to 30 percent.
Blown-In InsulationBlown-in insulation is made from white cellulose, a byproduct of recycled cardboard, newspapers and other paper materials. It provides excellent R-value which increases depending on the depth.
Spray Foam InsulationSpray foam insulation is ideal for filling tight gaps and spaces that make a home drafty. It begins as liquid polyurethane that is sprayed into an opening or cavity. It expands to fills the space and then hardens into solid foam.
Reflective or Radiant BarrierReflective or radiant barriers work the opposite way as do other insulation materials but it has similar results. Most insulation slows down the flow of heat, but the thermodynamics of radiant barriers causes it to reflect the heat and cold. It is commonly used in attics to minimize the effects of scathing summers or frigid winters.
Cost of Insulation & Installation
The cost to purchase and install insulation varies regionally. The national average cost varies by material, with blown-in at around $880, fiberglass around $960 and spray foam around $1,100.
