- WORKING FOR YOUWFY took a dingy, somewhat insulated, storage-poor attached garage performed and "extreme makeover" that enable us to store our 2 cars PLUS many, many other items, in an attractive completely finished (with trim, paint etc.) and we still have empty shelves to use as we need them! WFY built an awesome "floor" in the garage attic that enable us to store items easily via an pull-down stairway. After nearly 2 decades of frustration we have an area that is so beautiful that people frequently comment that we could live in it. With the excellent insulation we've added a garage heater which enables us to complete projects (painting, staining, etc.) any month of the MN year. As our home's first owner was also the builder, they created multiple long-term issues and those were solved by WFY during the course of this project - which required ingenuity, patience, and flexibility to address all of the issues and provide us with the functional and attractive space we now enjoy - who knew it would be such a gift? We are so thankful to Rob (WFY founder) and his colleague Scott that we recommend them in the highest possible terms!! You can hire them to perform magic for you, too

- WORKING FOR YOUWFY's renovation was amazing. We've lived with issues, created by the original owner, with the ground level of our home for nearly 20 years and finally had the funds to get it fixed. It's a difficult situation to explain, as our home's layout is "a bit different." Long story, short, WFY - Rob, and his business partner Scott - properly insulated above and below grade, then finished the area to be sympathetic with the balance of the house. There were many hurdles, each of which were surmounted expertly. In general, the project required hand digging a deep trench around 2 sides of our home without overly disturbing mature tree roots; developing a plan for insulating from the outside (rather than losing precious floor space indoors) while keeping the home attractive; working with other contractors who needed to move various mechanicals to accommodate; making adjustments as underground realities were revealed; completing the insulating, siding, and painting processes; replacing and fixing the landscaping disturbed as a necessary side effect of the project. WFY did it all whilst also being respectful of our requests around reusing existing landscaping materials, etc. It's not yet cold enough for a final report, but we've already noticed a huge difference this fall and expect more good things to come over the winter. The exterior looks even more attractive than it ever did in the past - which is a testament to design skills as well as actual construction. We've now hired WFY for multiple projects and are always thrilled with the results. We so highly recommend this business that WFY is even better than a "perfect 10.

Years back, we hired Brian and Team to complete a major front-yard project. It went so well, we didn't think twice about hiring Environmental Design again. Our first and only call was to Brian!
Brian, due to his background and expertise at what he does, makes the process "enjoyable" and "care-free".
Brian starts a project when he says he will and completes the project right on time.
His estimating, layout and project planning and execution skills are excellent. Brian is also a very, very, very nice person to work with at all times. Same with his Team. No surprise they've been together for a long time.
While placing boulders, the team is expert and very precise. They performed that task for both the front and back yard projects. They care for your existing yard, by placing plywood down while entering and exiting the property. They clean the site daily, to ensure you're well taken care of at all times. They begin project days right on time (very consistent and predictable), which we appreciated.
Plant selection (to ensure one will have color all year long) and layout/presentation of those plants is an excellent skill Brian and Environmental Design possess.
They also recommended and we acted on it, a dripline irrigation system which runs right off the automated system. Press a button and all the plants are watered on the hillside!!! So glad we did that.
We'd HIGHLY recommend you call Brian/Environmental Design, for a project large or small. You'll be so glad you did!
