How We Got Started
I chose to work in this industry because My name is Thomas Grimes, I own & operate With The Grain Professional Flooring, we are a local family owned & run business since 2006. I have been in the hardwood flooring industry for over 20 years, starting with my brothers in Minnesota. I relocated to Germany while I was in the service. Upon retiring from the service, I started my own flooring company in Germany, and continued to learn and expand my experience with the European process of sanding, staining, & finishing, which I continue to use today. Today, my eldest son Tommy and I work together creating beautiful floors. I am pleased that he has the same respect, and love of working with wood that I do, and will continue the family business when it is his turn. .
