QWhat ceremony locations are available?
AWith the Lōkahi Package, you can choose from any of the following elegant venues available at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Whether you're searching for an ocean view or a tropical garden oasis, the Resort offers a diverse selection of breathtaking locations for your perfect ceremony.


Reception sites range from outdoor courtyards nestled in lush greenery to Hawaiian-themed ballrooms with custom-designed décor that is tailored to your taste. Your Disney Wedding Consultant is happy to share more details with you, and looks forward to helping bring your unique vision to life.
QIs ceremonial décor provided?
AIn the spirit of simple and effortless planning, the Lōkahi Package lets the exquisite surroundings be your décor! However, if you wish to enhance your location with décor, you are encouraged to do so. Please check with your Disney Wedding Consultant for more information, as some locations may not be able to accommodate décor.
QAre chairs provided for the ceremony?
AYes, folding chairs are included in your Lōkahi wedding package so that your guests may witness your ceremony comfortably.
QWhat are the available times for Lōkahi ceremonies?
AWe are able to offer Lōkahi package weddings at the following times:

    Lunch Reception: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Sunset Experience
    Lōkahi Ceremony: 5:00 PM

QCan I have just a ceremony and not a reception?
AYes, if you are interested in a ceremony only for up to 18 Guests, we invite you to explore the Pilialoha Package events at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.
QHow much is the deposit?
AA deposit of $2,000 is required in order to begin planning your event-a portion of which involves securing your event space and reserving hotel room accommodations at special discounted rates. A signed Letter of Agreement, along with a minimum non-refundable deposit, will be required to confirm your wedding date. This non-refundable deposit will be applied to your minimum Lōkahi celebration cost requirement of $10,600. Additional non-refundable deposit of $6,000 will be collected with any Lanikuhonua reservations.
QCan I just have a reception without a ceremony?
AYes we do offer reception only packages, so long as they meet our food and beverage minimum of $125++ per person for lunch receptions or $175++ per person for dinner receptions.
QWhat is the required minimum cost of having a wedding and/or reception at Aulani?
AThere are 2 required minimums in order to host your event at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. First, we require that a 10-room night minimum be booked by you and your guests, in any combination, during your stay. If your party books 25 rooms or more, the bride and groom will receive a complimentary one-night stay. The second requirement is that each of our Lōkahi package events must be coupled with a reception experience.
QCan I provide my own photographer, videographer, entertainment and florist?
AWedding photography is included in your Lōkahi wedding package. We have aligned ourselves with a variety of excellent photographers, videographers and florists for you to choose from, so there is no need to provide your own. However, you may provide your own videographer, entertainment and/or florist for an additional outside vendor fee.
QCan I have an outdoor reception dinner?
AYes. Here is a list of our outdoor venues available for hosting a reception: Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, offers 15,000 square feet of space for you to host an enchanting reception beside the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. An outdoor venue rental fee will apply.
QCan I have my reception at one of the restaurants?
AUnfortunately, at this time, we offer only catered receptions at our unique venues. If you're interested in visiting one of our restaurants, you are welcome to make a reservation for another day.
QCan I have Disney Characters at my ceremony?
AWe're sorry, but our famous Disney Characters are not available to participate in the actual ceremony in any way. However, they'd be delighted to attend your reception and mingle with guests, pose for unforgettable photographs, "cut in" on the first dance and even help you cut the cake*. Character appearances are available in 30-minute increments.

QWhat characters can I have at my reception?
AMickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and other Disney Characters are available for appearances*. Please speak with your Disney Wedding Coordinator about additional character options offered.

QCan I upgrade my linens?
AYes. The Aulani Resort provides a wide variety of standard linen colors, though you may upgrade your linens. Please contact your Disney Wedding Coordinator for more information on available linen upgrades.
QCan I provide my own wedding favors?
AYes. You may provide your own favors for your wedding, up to 3 different items per guest. If you exceed this number, an additional labor fee will apply, to ensure the timely setup of your reception.
QHow do I get my dress pressed?
ATo get your wedding dress or other garments pressed, please call Housekeeping or PBX directly to arrange a laundry pick up. (You'll find a laundry form in your guest room closet.) A Cast Member will come up to your room to pick up all items.

All items must be in the hands of our housekeeping team prior to 8am, as Hakuyosha, our Dry Cleaning team, has an 8am daily pick-up.

Garments will be returned to your guest room in 24 hours. (8am - 10am the next day)
Starting cost is $120 for wedding gown pressing / steaming.
QWill I have a rehearsal?
AYes. The day before your wedding, you will meet with your officiant and Disney Wedding Coordinator to rehearse your wedding ceremony. At this time, your families and the bridal party will gather in the main lobby to practice your walk down the aisle in a quiet location so that everyone will know what to do on the big day.
QDo I have to have a rehearsal dinner?
ANo, you do not need to have a rehearsal dinner following the rehearsal. Typically, couples gather their families and the bridal party for a dinner following the rehearsal at either one of Aulani's fine dining restaurants. Our new KA WA'A Luau has been a big hit for Rehearsal Dinners. Please contact your Disney Wedding Coordinator for more information on dining options or to book a private dining event.

PILIALOHA WEDDING QUESTIONS
QWhat ceremony locations are available?
AWith the Pilialoha Package, you can choose from any of the following intimate venues available at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Whether you're searching for an ocean view or a private tropical garden oasis, the Resort offers a diverse selection of breathtaking locations for your perfect ceremony.

QIs ceremonial décor provided?
AYou may enhance the location with décor if you wish, but in the spirit of simple and effortless planning, the already-beautiful surroundings can serve as your décor! Please check with a Disney Wedding Planner regarding adding your own décor and what the location can accommodate.
QAre chairs provided for the ceremony?
AYes, we are able to set up chairs at each of our Pilialoha locations. Please check with your Disney Wedding Planner as each unique location has a limit of chairs that can be set.
QWhat are the available times for Pilialoha ceremonies?
APilialoha ceremony start times are available at 8:00am, 9:00am, 4:00pm, or 8:00pm, depending on desired location, Monday through Friday only.
QCan I have just a ceremony and not a reception?
AYes. Pilialoha Packages are ceremonies only and do not require that a reception be held afterward.
QHow much is the deposit?

AWhile the Pilialoha Package does not include a reception dinner, we invite you to consider a Cake and Champagne Celebration, KA WA'A Luau Group Reservation or Dining Reservation in one of our restaurants on property. Please speak with a Disney Wedding Planner about how to arrange that. Also, feel free to explore our Lōkahi Package, which offers a private wedding reception to follow a Lōkahi Ceremony.
QCan I have my reception at one of the restaurants?
AAbsolutely! While a reception is neither included in nor required for Pilialoha Package events, you might choose to have one. If your party is 10 or fewer, this is a particularly convenient option. We recommend to you ʻAMAʻAMA – Contemporary Island Cooking, as it is the most romantic restaurant at Aulani. Reservations are based on availability.
QCan I have Disney Characters at my ceremony?
AWe're sorry, but our famous Disney Characters are not available to participate in the actual ceremony in any way. However, they'd be delighted to attend your Cake & Champagne Celebration, should you choose to add one, to mingle with guests and pose for unforgettable photographs. Character appearances are available in 30-minute increments and count toward your minimum wedding expenditure. Mickey, Minnie and other Disney Characters are available for appearances. Please speak with a Disney Wedding Planner about additional character options offered.
QWill I have a rehearsal?
ABecause Pilialoha events are simple ceremonies, a rehearsal is not included in your Pilialoha Package.
QDo I need insurance?
ACouples do not need to purchase wedding insurance prior to their wedding day; however, we all know that, sometimes, things can go awry. QWhen and how do I book my ceremony and reception spaces?
ACeremony and reception spaces may be booked up to one year in advance of your event date, based on availability. QHow do I obtain a marriage license?
AYou must first download an application online, and then go to the Hawai`i Department of Health to obtain a marriage license in person. The fee for a marriage license is $60 U.S. currency only, payable in cash at the time of filing. (Please note that the filing fee is subject to change.) The office is located on the corner of Beretania and Punchbowl Street. You can call the department at (808) 586-4545. Normal business hours are as follows: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM, except Hawaiian and federal holidays. Please note that the Health Department is closed every other Friday due to Hawaiʻi budget deficits. We suggest that you call the above number to confirm dates of operation prior to visiting.
QDo I have to get a marriage license in Hawaiʻi?
AYes, the state of Hawaiʻi requires couples to get a Hawaiʻi Marriage License prior to their wedding in Hawaiʻi.
QDo you provide officiants?
AYes, an officiant is included in our wedding packages. All of our wedding officiants have performed weddings at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and are familiar with our locations and facilities. Your Disney Wedding Coordinator will help pair you with an officiant that best fits your ceremony needs.
QWhat is the cost of the officiant?
AYou do not have to worry about incurring an additional charge for your officiant, since this cost is already included in our wedding packages.
QCan I provide my own cake, food and/or beverage?
AUnfortunately, due to health and safety concerns, we do not allow our guests to provide their own food and beverages for their events. However, we can assure you that our world-renowned chefs and pastry artists will treat you and your guests to an unforgettable dining experience, complete with a gorgeous wedding cake.
QDo I have to stay at the Resort in order to have my wedding at the Resort?
AFor a seamless experience, we recommend that you stay at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. A 10-room minimum is required to book your ceremony or reception at the Resort. These 10 rooms can be utilized in one night or in any pattern that works best with the flow of your guests' stay. We are pleased to offer you and your guests specially priced rooms at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, when 10 or more rooms are booked.

If you and your guests book 25 rooms at the Resort, a complimentary standard room is offered to the bride and groom on their wedding night, subject to availability. Suite upgrades are available for an additional charge.
QDo my guests have to stay at the Resort?
ANo, your guests are not required to stay at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, during your wedding festivities. However, we make it convenient and affordable for your guests to attend your wedding by offering specially-priced room blocks at the Resort. Accommodations for the bride and groom will also count toward the room block minimum. Your Disney Wedding Coordinator is happy to discuss all of these details with you to ensure your comfort and understanding of the booking process.
QWill transportation from the airport be provided?
AAulani has partnered with Hele Hele Shuttle to provide transportation from the airport to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Visitors may also utilize car rentals, shuttles or Oʻahu's public transportation system from a provider at the Daniel K Inouye International Airport.
QHow will my guests not staying at Aulani get to the Resort?
AVisitors can get to the Resort by car rental, shuttle or taxi. Rental cars can be reserved in advance through providers at the Honolulu International Airport. Taxi stands are located throughout the airport.
QWhat kind of amenities can we enjoy while at the Resort?
ANaturally, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, features an 18,000-square-foot spa boasting 15 treatment rooms, 2 couples' rooms and a 2,000-square-foot fitness center. There, you can take advantage of all the latest spa therapies, specialty treatments and beauty regimens, and the guys might appreciate a massage too! You may also wish to schedule a relaxing couples' massage for the day after your event—the ultimate indulgence!
QWhat is the weather like?
AAverage temperatures on Oʻahu range from lows in the 60s and 70s to highs in the 80s. Temperatures remain fairly consistent throughout all months of the year.
QWhat is the time zone?
AHawaiʻi's time zone is the Hawaiʻi-Aleutian Standard Time Zone. Hawaiʻi is 5 hours behind Eastern Standard Time, 2 hours behind Pacific Standard Time and 19 hours behind Tokyo time. Hawaiʻi does not recognize daylight savings time and will therefore be an additional hour behind standard times.
QHow far is Aulani from the airport?
AAulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, is approximately 20 miles from the airport, so please plan accordingly once you arrive in case of traffic or other interferences.
QWill the Resort have a salon for hair and makeup?
AYes. The spa at Aulani offers a salon featuring a number of beauty regimens that you may take advantage of prior to your wedding day.
QWill I be able to have fireworks?
AThe Hawaiian culture does not have a history of using fireworks. So, we are unable to offer fireworks during your wedding due to that sensitivity as well as to environmental preservation considerations.
Q Can we take pictures on the beach?
AYes, after your ceremony, you may take photos on the beach. However, it is a shared beach, and we cannot guarantee that other Guests won't interfere with your ability to take photos.
