Also important for us, he managed the entire project and I was only pulled in from time to time on design questions. All of his employees were top-notch and showed up on time. - Shefer Builder INCUpdate: I was not paid to give a review and I did utilize and hire Shefer Builders for a total remodel. Remodeling can be stressful. So many decisions and expenses. We thought about it several years. We researched, planned, saved and interviewed several companies. We wanted a general contractor that could handle all our needs (one stop). We met with Yani of Shefer Builder twice. We shared our budget, our wants, and our concerns. It’s important you find someone you feel comfortable with and can have confidence in. It’s your home after all. He made us feel excited about the possibilities and his portfolio was extensive. He had loads of ideas and thoughtful ways and places we could make our dreams come true. We’d lived in our 1950s home for 20 years. Everything needed updating. From the roof down to new flooring, new windows, doors, outside stucco, and a gorgeous new open floor plan kitchen (removed a wall) and bathroom! We couldn’t be happier now! The end result is amazing. It looks like something in a magazine. Yet very livable. Yani helped with choosing wall colors, tile, flooring and fixtures. They built a new master walk-in closet with custom organizers. Added crown molding and pocket lights throughout and durable pretty flooring. During the process Yani stayed in touch constantly and sent pictures of the progress. If we had a question he was very responsive in returning a call or text. He stayed within our budget and even found places to save us money. We joke if we win the lotto we’ll have Shefer Builder back to add a second story. We’d be happy to provide more info
- Aqua Dream PoolsSteve and his pool team are on point. Steve has his pool installation process down and things flowed smoothly. He was quick to respond if questions arose and he followed up throughout the process to make sure things were going well. Side-note: I recommend choosing your tile and coping early in the process so it can be ordered and ready to go. Our coping wasn’t in stock (no fault of Steve’s) but waiting for it to come in put a hold on our project for a bit. We are very happy with the end result and our family is enjoying the new pool! - Chlorine Genie IncI have been a customer of Chlorine Genie for 2 years and I am extremely satisfied with this system. I have a 13,000 gallon pool. I had a Gold Line Aqua Rite system that required me to dump salt into the pool. I did not like the taste or the way the salt felt on my skin. I also, had to replace the cell twice in 4 years on the Gold Line chlorine system. I found out the hard way how bad salt can be for equipment, as I had to replace my pool pump, due to parts being corroded after only 4 years. I searched long and hard to find a better way. Then I came across the Chlorine Genie on the internet. I did some research and decided to give it a try. After calculating what I was currently spending on chemicals not even taking into account the time I spent driving back and forth to the store, I realized this was long overdue. It seems every time you go into those pool stores they want to talk you into buying more chemicals to balance the levels in your pool. It was beginning to feel like an addiction. Well I decided to kick the habit. I invested in the Chlorine Genie and have never been happier. Not only does it maintain my chlorine level, it saves me money on acid for adjusting PH. The only thing I do now is to test the water once every couple of weeks, to ensure the pool water is stable. Only time I have had to make any minor adjustments (open or close 1 valve, and set timer) is when weather changes from hot summer to cooler winter. My water has never looked better, it is so crystal clear. Maintenance has never been easier, simply put 1 bag of $5 salt into tank once every 3-6 months. Thanks Chlorine Genie Team for saving me money and time. I would recommend this product to anyone who would like to simplify the pool owning/maintaining experience! Best money I have every spent on the pool. Great product! Cliff

"We hired Shefer Builder to remodel our recently purchased condo. The project consisted of installing recessed lights, remodeling a bathroom and building a new closet. I am very pleased with the effort they (primarily their office manager, Natali) put in to make sure that all the necessary documents were in place so that the project could be approved by our HOA. I spoke to 7 contractors trying to get proposals and the documents required by the HOA. Three contractors backed out before giving me a proposal, one had messed up documents, one kept trying to upsell me, one seemed very inexperienced, and one provided a bid that seemed like a lowball bid. Shefer was professional in the bid process and the project was completed at the cost that I expected. I was impressed that for each facet of the project, i.e., electrical, tile, plumbing, painting, carpentry, a specialized crew was working on that facet. The quality of the work was excellent and Yani kept on top of the project to make sure that everything was done correctly. I appreciate that working in a condo and around HOA requirements is not easy. Shefer did a great job in completing the project with essentially no complaints from the neighbors or the HOA.
