Here’s why Gateway is so important: Because the rail tunnels under the Hudson River are an essential artery that moves countless people and goods along the entire Eastern Seaboard. If that artery gets backed up, then the heart of our national economy would cease to pump.

will join us in NY to celebrate the new Gateway rail tunnel. After Hurricane Sandy, fixing the tunnel became one of my top priorities. And thanks to our infrastructure law, Gateway is moving forward to create good-paying union jobs, and boost our economy!
