We thought we had a leaking shower drain. The plumber from Randy Lane took about 5 minutes to figure out that it was the toilet, not the shower drain, that was leaking into the kitchen ceiling below. We needed to have a heating vent temporarily removed so that they could reach the pipes. Then they returned and replaced the seal and a portion of the pipes leading to the toilet. They were timely and highly professional in the work that they completed for us. We would definitely use them again for plumbing problems

Jack and Brian came and investigated. Thought it might be the shower drain so he repaired and said wait 24 hours to use the shower and see what happens and call him. I used the other upstairs shower and still got a leak. Turned out all the water draining from upstairs caused leaking in the basement. Jack was very cautious about tearing into walls or getting into something that would be expensive unless it really had to be done. He started in the basement near the leak and worked his way up. Finally they found a nail hole in the stack coming down from the upstairs. Only had a few small wall holes that were easy to repairs. He was clean, timely and professional. While he was there, he checked the water heater which turned out to be leaking. A small leak so I hadn't noticed. He tightened a few things and said to give him a call if the leak continued. Jack is not in a rush to turn it into a big job for more money. He wants to do the right work in the right way

He called me back within about 30 min, said that he coincidentally was in the area and could come over immediately. He explained the process throughout and added clearing our slow kitchen sink, despite the fact that the stop was impromptu and had already run longer than he initially thought. Nate was out to provide an estimate within a day of the request. We got three estimates and Schumm came in with the middle number. However, they were able to start the project sooner, and they were more thorough with the repair work estimate than the other two estimates so we were willing to pay more. All the work was done on time and as quoted. The workers were very polite, and they kept the area clean and neat. They were careful to return all the landscape surrounding the sidewalk and drive way to original condition. Overall a great experience, and we'd definitely use them again

Tyler came in to do the work on our shower drain in the basement foundation which had rusted out being cast iron. He had to jack-hammer it out, replace the pipe and put it all back together again. He cleaned up all the mess of chunked up cement. He also had to replace the utility sink faucet which was in sad shape. I was expecting to pay more for the 2 hours he was here but thought $350 was very reasonable

I made an online appointment at 9:30 pm Thursday 6/05 and they were at my home by 8:45 am Friday. 2-man crew - one veteran (Brian), one apprentice (Robbie). Knowledgeable, honest, candid, considerate. Explained generic charges up front; after analyzing the problem, Brian explained what was necessary and what it would cost, and included me in their process. To fix the main drain they had to remove a toilet, working in an area with very little space to accommodate the equipment they had to use. Nothing was disturbed - no furniture, no wall damage, no carpet damage. When additional product or service was offered, there was no hard sell, just information. They left all the areas they worked in clean when they were done. Work was completed in about 2 hours. A pleasant solution to a most unpleasant problem.
