They thoroughly scraped, then power-washed, applied primer and two coats of top-quality paint to siding and trim. Their subcontractor carpentry company did a very good job of replacing some rotting siding, a window sill, some trim. Some of the siding was on a tower, which meant setting curved boards. They did a thorough clean-up at the end. All the workers were friendly, especially the on-site lead painter. They were somewhat more expensive than other painters we interviewed, but we are satisfied that they are worth the price. Highly recommend

They found creative ways to implement our design ideas, adjusted to the inevitable challenges of working on an old home with humor, reassurance, and warmth, and worked tirelessly to preserve the natural beauty of our home. For example, we had a gorgeous, turn-of-the-century custom cabinet built into one of the dining room walls that was coming down. In the middle of demolition, Marc and his team delicately removed the cabinet in one piece rather than allow something so beautiful to be destroyed. You simply don't get that kind of attention and consideration from most contractors! As we neared completion of our project, MA Design and Construction were constantly communicating with us regarding finishing details and ensuring that the work met our hopes and expectations. We are SO incredibly grateful to have selected them for this project and have already recruited them for other projects that we have planned. "ProBuilt, Bill Ladd deserves a perfect ten! The craftsmanship and customer service of Bill and crew are superb. The project was to basically rebuild my deck,, and I asked to keep as much of the old wood as possible to help with the budget, which Bill did. Because of some covid-related issues, I did upgrade the flooring, but it was well worth it. Bill and his crew were excellent, always respectful, answering any questions, and cleaned up every night. Bottom line, I would use ProBuilt again for any project and am very pleased to give my highest recommendation.

"Instead of "fixing" the front steps (my words, not his), Simon practically rebuilt the whole structure. He was very timely, came when he promised he would (and let us know when he would be late). He also ordered our decking and picked it up. When he saw some of the rotted wood that was unexpected, he explained to us the problem and worked to fix it. He was very clean, and worked very long days. He also was very careful and deliberate in the work that he did, to make sure it was sound and secure. I would hire him again for any job.

"I had a very positive experience working with Tom Brady Carpentry. I have used them twice, once for some framing work to repair beetle damage and once for a larger job to level my floors in three rooms and install wood floors. Both times, the crews were on time, extremely professional, and did excellent work. Tom is particular about explaining his quote and anything that comes up extra before he changes any aspect of the quote. We found several major surprises under the floor that had to be repaired, and he explained all of the pros and cons of what had to be done. In the end, I still paid very close to the quoted price. He also stands by his work and has said he will come back to resolve any issues I might have. I was very happy with them and would go to them again.

"MA Design transformed our house from something that worked in the 1950s to a new home that is more open, refreshing, and boasts functionality for a family of four without compromising on style. They were extremely responsive throughout the entire process. During the early design phase, both Marc and Raquel shared design ideas and changes that we hadn't considered. Many of their ideas were incorporated into the final design and elevated the final product. They have decades of experience and can spot opportunities to improve the design, layout, and refine the small details which make a big difference in the end. We added scope to the program as construction progressed and MA Design was amicable to the changes and easily able to absorb the extra work into the schedule given their large team and strong network of sub contractors. When things were uncovered during the project, such as older piping, MA Design presented multiple options with pros and cons of each. This equipped us with the information we needed to make the right decision for our house. Despite the increased scope and challenging macro conditions, MA design was able to complete the project on the low end of their original 16-20 week range estimate. The house turned out better than we could have expected and we're very happy with the quality, price, and professionalism throughout the process. We'd recommend MA Design for a project of any size, as they showed they're skilled in all aspects of home renovations.
