By the Sunday morning we had gotten confirmation we were scheduled for the next day, received payment request, and any other information we needed. Sunday evening our inspector Jim texted me to see if we had any questions or specific non-routine things we wanted him to take a look at. When we met him Monday morning to walk through the house with him we were blown away at how knowledgeable and confident he was about pretty much every aspect of the house. He was immediately willing to admit anything he didn’t have expertise on and for those things he recommended having a more specialized company come do an analysis for us. I really appreciate people being honest when they aren’t certain about something instead of bluffing. We had our inspection report emailed to us the evening of the same day the inspection was done which was very appreciated due to our short inspection window. I have full confidence Jim would be willing to explain or talk us through understanding anything on the report. The report itself is beautifully designed and laid out, included many images, and also includes a ton of helpful links to education articles about various issues/maintenance items that were found in our inspection. Your excellent inspector Eric Larsen was so observant and was able to access areas of our attic space we were not. He was able to identify the source of some serious issue we will be able to make sure are addressed by our builder before it becomes damaged beyond repair. "I have been using them for decades for the tree roots in the main line sewer of my old house. In the beginning, I waited until the clogged sewer caused water in my basement, but they suggested a preventative cleaning every two years. This has solved the problem. Once they found some of the clay tile pipe was blocking the sewer, and I had that repaired. I am very happy with their service, and they give a discount to Angie's List members as well.

"Yury is the real deal! Between my friends, my family, and my own experiences, there have been many bad inspectors. They always just happen to show up a couple hours early, so when I arrive to start the inspection they are almost done already. "I could not be more pleased with Brad, of Ark Home Inspections' service. I was able to make an appointment on just a few days notice. Brad arrived on time and well prepared. He was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I am a single, first-time home buyer. Brad explained things in a way that made the concepts easy to understand. He also explained the reasoning behind what he was looking at and why. The inspection was very comprehensive, he did scans for moisture on the walls, infrared scans for evidence of heat loss, and walked me through room by room explaining everything he was doing. He got out the ladder for inspecting the roof and chimney and took photos of any concerns he found. He also showed me how to operate the main water & gas shut-offs, and where the sewer clean-out was located and what it's for, things I wouldn't have know how to do otherwise. He gave me estimates on the life remaining on the major systems in the house; furnace, hot water heater, roof etc., which is very helpful for future planning. My inspection was on a Friday afternoon, which took around 3 hours and still Brad emailed the full final report with photos the next morning. Brad left me feeling confident to make an informed decision on whether or not to purchase this house.
