It is noted that Crimea has been under sanctions pressure for many years

MOSCOW, January 18. /TASS/. Sberbank has begun operations in the Crimean Peninsula, with offices in major cities of the region to be opened in the first half of this year, the credit institution’s press service says.

"Sberbank has set up a team and started working in the Crimean Peninsula. The first bank ATMs have already been installed and the network of SSMs will start working across the entire peninsula over the year. Bank offices will open gradually during 2023. The first of them in the largest cities will go live in the first half of the year," Sber said. All the necessary Sberbank services will be rolled out during this year, the press service added.

Crimea has been under sanctions pressure for many years. The Russian National Commercial Bank, which became a member of the VTB Group, was the key bank of the region. Promsvyazbank started its operations on the peninsula last year.
