"Higgins Painting had done excellent work for me a few years ago at my prior home, and they did so again at my current home. I hired them to repaint the living room ceiling as well as the stairway and upper hallway, including both walls and trim, with a very high ceiling above the stairs. They were both prompt and professional at every step, from the in-person quote, to scheduling (which occurred much more quickly than I feared), to performing the job. They were very clear during the quote process, answering all my questions about the estimated charges. Their quote was a bit higher than another painter's, but that painter gave an estimate based on photos (not in-person) and I think the quote was fair and well worth it. Execution of the paint job was excellent, and I especially appreciated them insisting on coming back to put on a third coat when the agreed-upon two coats of wall paint were sufficient. Clean-up was immaculate. Finally, everyone I interacted with was friendly and pleasant. Highly recommended!show more

"Brian came over after we had talked with several contractors about a concrete porch underside (in basement room) and one of those contractors made us think the concrete was in such a bad state of "imminent failure" that it needs a full replacement.So, while we continued to get quotes for a full replacement, we also asked a retired architect friend to give his opinion. He did not think concrete was so bad and he was glad we were having a structural engineer (Brian) coming over a few days later. Brian explained why he did not think the concrete was in need of full replacement (very expensive!) and also the damage was not a foundation/structure integrity issue (not "imminent failure"). We had spoken to several contractors and the cost to fully replace is upwards of 15-20 thousand dollars. From the state of the concrete, Brian did not believe the "symptoms" warranted a full replacement and that the more likely issue was simply that we never "sealed" the concrete with epoxy (and only painted the concrete porch). Given the sky-rocketing costs to do any home repairs, it seems more reasonable for us to do first level repair (not replace) that Brian suggests. Brian's honest and informative consultation (for free!!!) is piece of mind and a HUGE savings. We greatly appreciate Brian coming over to educate us - on his own dime. We will definitely ask Brian to come over again if/when we think we need an honest assessment of our home foundation needs.show more

"After replacing the plumbing in our home, large sections of walls and ceilings which were opened to access the plumbing needed to be repaired. After receiving several quotes from various contractors, we decided to work with Chris Dallaba and Sweet Success Contractors. Chris arrived at the scheduled time and prepared a detailed estimate for the work. He also explained, with good detail, his company's emphasis on quality, which was most important to us. I explained to Chris our expectation was, after completion, that our home would look like the plumbing replacement never happened. The crew from Sweet Success Contractors arrived promptly each day and worked quickly and efficiently. They took great care to cover floors and furniture in the areas they were working and throughout the areas of our home where they were travelling. Communication throughout the duration of the project (3 days) was very good, and Chris stopped by each day to check on the progress and let us know the next steps. The project is now complete and WE ARE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. Our home really does look like the plumbing replacement never happened. The after-project cleanup was thorough and the final bill was exactly what we were quoted.
