I worked with a gentleman by the name of Pete at the Tile Doctor. Pete had returned my initial telephone call before the same business day had ended. Upon completing the estimate, I was completely clear on the scope of work, expectations, and time frames given to me. The price was also clarified. The tile work was expeditiously completed and Pete arrived at the work site on time for the day and a half/two day project. At the end of the first day, the tasks already completed and those remaining were further clarified. Insofar as the finished product, I could not be more pleased. Pete's work is part of a "remodel, appraisal, and refinance" process on a condominium -so having an excellent job done was key. Specifically, the tools and materials used were above average (i.e., laser-guided edging and measuring, etc.). Also, once the tile was set, Pete even went back to redo two tiles that had settled slightly off. Also notable was the expeditious manner in which the job was done without the sense of it being rushed. All of the above, in my opinion, requires a more seasoned skill-set -which is all part of ending up with such a great outcomeshow more

The bathroom tile job is very high quality work. Juan corrected some wall imperfections, suggested some aesthetic improvements to the original tile layout, and completed all the work at a good pace. He was able to start within a few days, and kept me apprised of the progress and changes to the schedule. The work is simply beautiful, and I am very pleased with the quality of workmanship and the look of the final result. Juan was polite, considerate and put in honest days' work each day of the job, breaking the work into sensible stages to prevent interfering with or disturbing tiles that needed to set before it was wise to work in an adjacent area. I started a remodel of the 2nd bathroom about 3 years ago, but got bogged down, never finished, and had the floor open to the floorboards for a long long time. Asked Nick to finish the job, and he and Matt tackled it.. I already had the tiles. Nick and Matt designed an intricate and very attractive tile design with complex edging, using my existing materials, still keeping the large tiles beautifully intact in the room center. Layed it out for my approval, then installed, grouted and finished it. Set the toilet over it, much to my wife's delight after 3 years. Looks great, i still smile every time my feet walk on the smooth cool tiles. Great jobshow more

We live in Oakland. We called and asked for a quote and they came all of the way from Benicia. The owner, Bob Totherow, arrived very promptly and was polite, friendly and very knowledgeable explaining all of our options for our kitchen floor. Out of 4 quotes (all from Angie's list) his was the second lowest. Several times between the initial quote and the actual installation, I called Bob and asked his advice about the size of the tiles and the color of the grout and he again offered us good advice. Steve, the installer and his assistant Carlos, were again, very polite, friendly and more importantly highly skilled. We ordered tiles that have variations of colors in each tile. After the installation was completed, I noticed that two tiles had significantly different colors from my point of view. Steve and Carlos had no problem in immediately taking the two tiles out and replacing them. I noticed that they are really into their work and want to do the best job that they can.
