"I hired Neli over a week period for 3 different appliances, my dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even kitchen sink! I had a fantastic experience: 1. I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process. 2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem. 3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! This was a well spent $40.00--I even got Thomas advice on purchasing a new washing machine and what to look for. 4. I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage. "Our rooftop LG split system condensing unit stopped working in the dead of winter. We called multiple HVAC contractors from Google and Angies List and none of them could figure out what was exactly wrong and how to address the issue. After paying a ton in system evaluation service fees, we had multiple expensive quotes to replace the entire system (indoor and outdoor), which would have caused a major inconvenience to our current work from home lifestyle. Luckily, First California Appliance was called and they took the time to evaluate the system properly. They were able to easily pinpoint the exact issue and fix it without causing any added stress to our work from home schedules. He spent plenty of time with us on the front end of the project to select materials and set our expectations for how our kitchen would look when it was done. He helped us choose some special features that made the kitchen special. "Rick was on time, and he even called us when he was on the way to our house to let us know he would be arriving in 30 minutes. Rick is very nice and quite professional. He diagnosed the problem with our dishwasher in about 15 minutes after doing some disassembly, removing standing water, and testing. He had the part that needed to be replaced in his van, and the whole job was completed in less than 30 minutes. Rick told me that 97% of the time, he will have the part with him and be able to make the repair on the spot. The price for the repair seemed to me to be a bit high, but the part than needed to be replaced was the central control unit and it cost $168, plus tax. The house call and labor were $120. I guess a Bosch dishwasher is like a Mercedes, and when it needs service, it is not inexpensive. The dishwasher has worked fine since the repair. Overall we were very happy with Rick's service.show more

"FANTASTIC!! Mick has been helping with our house since 2010. When we moved in, we had permitting issues with a gazebo and backyard stairs. He promptly took care of these issues. We had a massive kitchen leak which destroyed our hardwood floors and we had to replace our kitchen island. Mick to the rescue! He put us in touch with David who designed and procured the cabinet and countertop we wanted, and Mick put it all together. Simply gorgeous work! And he explains everything to you so you know what to expect, when to expect it, and he's so reasonably priced! We need him to repatch the drywall after our plumber cut open a giant hole in our dining room wall from another water intrusion issue, and since he is out here, we are having him replace our oversized and custom front door. There is nothing Mick cannot do. He also has an arsenal of amazing specialty contractors to do those things Mick does not do. He always comes along to make sure the work is done to his very exacting specification. We trust him with our home, and consider him a trust friend.
