Marco is very personable. He aims to please. This is the third time we have used Ihaul and we have been happy every time. The only thing they need to be better about is they need to disclose up front about the additional fee. The fee they have implemented is a service fee of 15 per man(in our case there were three of them) i felt this was too much to pay for maybe 15 minutes of work, also because they had not charged us that fee the two other times. The drivers are nice if you're outside when they come to pick it up. They're nice and they don't leave a mess. I think the prices are very reasonable. They're always here on the days that they're supposed to be here. I don't have to worry that they'll be late or not coming on that day and the trash will overflowshow more

These guys were great. I placed a pick-up online Tuesday afternoon and they arrived right on time, Wednesday morning. Two guys were professional and fast. Told me to relax, as they quickly filled a dumpster-size truck. To rent a dumpster the same size it would have cost me about $470 and would have taken me at least two hours. These guys were done in 30 minutes and I didn't have to worry about having a dumpster in front of my house all week. And they swept up a bit, once everything was loaded. No fuss, no mussshow more

I called Saturday and scheduled the work for two days later. On Monday, the truck was about 90 minutes late due to unexpected mechanical problems, but Marco was very good at communicating status and kept me updated until they arrived. Excellent! We had a lot of junk in our driveway from a garage cleaning and some last bits from a recent remodel. Haul Now answered my phone call, scheduled an appointment for later in the morning, and showed up on time. We thought the price was reasonable for disposal of all of the items (including the hazardous waste items). After the two trucks were loaded, they folded my giant blue tarp and then used a leaf blower on the driveway - no trace of the junk pile was left. Very happy with John Headman's Haul Nowshow more

Marco is very likeable, flexible, and recycles materials. He also answers his own phone so you're not waiting leaving messages with dispatch and waiting around for him to return your call. On the negative side, we set up an appointment for 10 am and he called to confirm at 7 am. I had given him several phone numbers and in the confusion confirmed to the wrong number. Adding to the confusion, he has several numbers and I believe I left a message at an office phone rather than his cell phone. Bottom line, the work started two hours late. My advice: be specific about where to reach you and him on the day of service. We had so much that he needed to come back on 8/26/2010. This was legitimate - I saw the truck absolutely stuffed with items. Upon arrival, I found out there was a variable cost of $15 per hour per guy which was not covered on the website or during our initial call. His guys were nice but slow. There were a couple of times I saw them carrying one small item at a time and without much hussle. Perhaps this was related to the sorting process as they get everything on the truck just so to aid the very important recycling process. All the same, I had my suspicions that they know they get paid more if it takes longer . . . On the positive side, they were nice and professional, and I had no concerns about them being in my home. I was not charged labor on the second visit because everything was arranged just so from the first visit to aid loading onto the truck. On the other hand, the truck wind up being "full" (i.e. more cost) which it was not anticipated to be when we arranged the second trip and the truck was full but not stuffed like the first day. We asked John to remove lots of piles and boxes full of outdoor miscellaneous trash, tools, benches, yard waste, cardboard, electronics etc that had been collecting dust for years. He arrived within 30 minutes of my telephone call, quoted me on the spot and began work. It took him about 2 hours of constantly loading up the wheelbarrow and wheeling it out to his truck, dumping it and coming back for another load. He was very thorough, professional and an extremely hard worker. He noticed an undergound wasps nest and cautioned me to stay away from it. I was ready 3 days early and when I called to move up my appointment, they were able to fit me in the same day. I was given a two hour window (1pm - 3pm) and the team called to say they'd be there at 3. That was surprisingly polite as the time was still in my "window". They also called when they were 20 minutes away (which was great so I could make sure I was available when they arrived). Went smoothly. Manueverd the truck right up to the fence on the alley and tossed everything in avoiding my fence altogether. Since my piles were on dirt, I wish they had had rakes to pile up and take away all the little bits, but all in all, it's great to have the space back. This is our 3rd time using 1-800-GOT-JUNK and we will continue to use them. I like their online booking system, and they consistently arrive during the selected time frame. They call in advance to re-confirm the appointment, and they call 20-minutes before arriving. Upon arrival, after viewing the volume of junk, they will give you an up-front price. The yard waste material encluded: palm frawns (each branch had several large thornes at the bace of the branch); palm pods; pine needles; shrubery cuttings; vine cuttings; 2 large tarps; several plant hanging baskets and hanging brackets; 2 boxes with misc material. Before any work started we warned the workers about the large thornes on the palm frawns but one of the workers had already stepped on one of the thornes and punctured his foot. They decided to take him for medical attention. They called back later and said that they would have to reschedule the appointment. We agreed on another day. They arrived on Saturday and we again warned these new workers of the large thornes on the palm frawns. The workers hand carried most of the material to their truck until they got to the bottom of the pile. Instead of taking the remainder of the pile they said their truck was full. We checked the truck and it seemed to us that there was plenty of room for the remainder of our pile. they said we could put the remainder in our own trash can, took my check and left. We are very upset about this treatment and will never concider using them again. We specifically wanted all the trash removed at one time so that nothing would be lingering on for another time. It cost us almost 600 dollars for a partial load truck and we still have trash left over to contend withshow more
