We highly recommend Gold Standard Termite and Pest, Inc. Jameson came out to do the inspection and his extensive knowledge and careful explanations immediately put us at ease. We were told by another company that we COULDN'T have subterranean termites because we have a slab foundation. We have an Eichler. Jameson's very thorough inspection discovered that we, indeed, have subterranean termites. We chose to do a local treatment because the drywood termites were in the beams and it appeared that the infestation was in the early stages. Their work and ethics are amazing! Once Don got there he took a look at the hand rail that had termite activity and gave me a quick breakdown on everything termites and other wood destroying organisms (fungi, beetles, etc). Don explained that the termites in the rail were Dry Wood termites and it looks like they are only in this specific area of the property. He recommends that I have someone come and replace that piece of wood and to seal it with paint to prevent future termite issues. One lesson I learned is that some termites can fly and they won't go through paint! Don recommends sealing all unsealed wood with paint and caulk up areas that are unsealed/cracked. They did a good job and my house is still termite-free today. After filing the report, I took their recommendations to add concrete to the outdoor porch posts. The concrete shoring-up to the posts outside has withstood 3 winter rainy seasons fine. They came to spray for termites once under the house. A week later I noticed an area inside the house that still had termites roaming in the walls. I was told to wait until a few weeks had passed to make sure the toxin had penetrated the subterranean termite lodgings and reached the queen. After this time passed and there were still termites in the wall, they came back and sprayed under the brick front porch. This solved the problemshow more

MM located the termite infestation and got rid of the bugs by drilling small holes, scoping the space in the walls to confirm, and then injecting a foam that kills the termites over time while they spread it to all other colonies. The place was neat afterwards, no toxic fumes, etc. and the holes were inconspicuously filled. So I was quite happy... Cost $2 K with guarantees out to 5 years. Only 3 months have gone by but I don't think ill see those termites againshow more

They do termite work using an orange oil and bora wood. They injected it into the wood and it hardened and prevents termites from eating the wood. They were extraordinarily good and very, very clean. They were always clean and always put a mat down before they walked anywhere. They put on a full suit when they were in the attic and inverted it when they came down so none of the pink stuff would be carried through our house. They were timely and very, very thorough. They did a complete look under the house as well as all the attics. Before they treated they asked me if it was okay and then they came back and treated it. The young man literally spent six hours working at my house. His name was Jeff Whitcomb. My house is about 3200 square feet. I was very impressed with their work and I would recommend them highly. We had initial work done with them 2 1/2-3 years ago. If they have to come back, as long as we pay $200 a year for the service, they come back and do it for free. We re-opt for two years. For $400 they came back to check around the house for termites. Initially it was $1,300 to have the house done. We didn't want to have the house tented because we have animals and we have a lot of plants that are close to the house. This was a much better option for us because we are organic in our family and we didn't want that gas in our house. It was very good service. We really like the product. It seems to work. As long as we pay $200 a year, they will come back indefinitely. Any of the termite guarantees are only good for a year so it is really wonderful that we can have somebody come back and check on our house.
