The alarm company that I had dealt with for over 20 years was purchased by Safe Security. A letter was sent to the previous company's clients to contact Safe Security and have the alarm system re programmed to be forwarded to Safe Security. This was to be a in home project. I mis placed the letter. When another letter came from Safe Security asking clients to test the alarm system, I figured I should get this taken care of. I called the number listed and the agent could not find me in the Safe Security system. I was told I must have the wrong company, so I just forgot about this and was planning to take care of it on another day. Soon after that, I received a bill for monitoring the alarm that was not yet being monitored. I knew at this point, I do not want this company as a place I spend money. I called customer service to explain my situation. I was told after a brief conversation that I had a contract and had better abide by the contract. I contacted a department that is called "retention" and finally got them to understand I do not want their services. I was told and that if I sent them over $66 and a signed letter stating my wish not to receive service, that was satisfactory with them. The letter was sent with a check and the check was cashed. I thought this was the end of it. In about two weeks, I get a past due bill for the remaining monitoring service period (the total original bill was about $99). I ignored it. In about a week,I got a call from a Safe Security account receivable person about the past due bill. After my getting a little "huffy" he hung up on me. I called back and asked for his supervisor. I got an answering device and left a message. Two days later I still had not received a return call from anyone at Safe Security. I called the person who originally called me about the "past due" bill and would not help me at all. I emailed to the Safe Security and got no response but did get another "past due" notice. I finally wrote a letter and sent it to several people listed on the web site. I got a phone call a few days later saying my issue was resolved. This all took about six weeks. Not once did anyone at Safe Security ask how they could help resolve the issue or assist in any way

We had 2 stellar consultants once we got in touch with the Alarm protection group. They both deserve to be recognized for their excellent work ethics and knowledge in their field. The installation went in easy, and instruction on using the equipment was very straight forward. Being a State Licensed Inspector and dealing with Fire Alarm and Security systems, I was really amazed at how simple but effective this alarm system is. I would highly recommend APG to anyone who is looking to protect their belongings and keep their family safe. It certainly makes sense to me to go with a quality system and people you can trust

This company gave a somewhat higher estimate than others did, but I especially liked that it was a family-run company with prompt personal attention. I also liked the fact that the family has been doing this for a long time and really know what they are doing. They installed the system all in one day, left no messes behind, and got everything connected right. It works GREAT and is very easy to use. Plus the motion detectors really don't get set off by my very wild and frequently airborne cats (another company had told me that there were no motion detectors that were truly safe with pets)

I love this system and HIGHLY recommend it! We have used ADT and Bay Alarm in the past but got frustrated with contracts, high monthly costs and equipment problems. We tried Simplisafe because the install was non-invasive and there were no contract commitments. I was very skeptical but couldn't be happier with this system. It is extremely easy to install, easy to use and inexpensive. My three children are all able to use the system without a problem which makes us all feel more safe.

California Security is a front for 'Safe Security Company'. Check out that company, along with the long list of problems filed with the BBB. The first person that tried to scope out the project was obviously a contractor who also tried to sell me an exterior entertainment system. He has his own side business in San Ramon. Very unprofessional, as he was not interested in doing the addition work, but tried to replace the existing system and make it all wireless. The interior wireless option also requires an additional monthly fee, and that's all he wanted to push. Eventually, another Cal Security 'employee' was brought in to complete the project. After a few weeks, one of the components failed so I called up the company and they said they would send me a replacement part, which I was told would be at no charge since it was under the warranty period. I could have gotten the part from Amazon for $4. I never received the part from California Security Alarms, but I did get an invoice from Safe Security Company for a Wireless transmitter for $80.40. That is a completely useless part for my application. After several weeks of working with them to straighten out the issue, it's now in the domain of the BBB. I have recently cancelled my monthly contract with the company, based on the problems I had with the installers, and this seems somewhat retaliator

There are hundreds of them going back several years. Their main emphasis is ripping their clients off for every cent they can.
