Bay Area Fence sent out an estimator to give us estimates for a variety of services: we wanted to replace a 31' section of fence that was falling down, but also wanted to get the price to add privacy lattice to several other sections in our yard. The estimator was very helpful, breaking down the different cost options and making recommendations to help us make the best choice. They also offered to work with our neighbors to split up the billing if we chose to do multiple sections. We ended up only doing the 31' replacement at this time: redwood fence with a privacy lattice. They scheduled the work for the next day, and the workers showed up right on time. They worked quickly and professionally, finished the fence replacement within a couple of hours and completely cleaning up the job site when they were done -- you'd never know they had been there. This was my second time using them and could not be happier. If you want a quality fence built for a fair price go no further. 1 guy built this 70ft long fence in 3 days in root infested clay soil. They did drive on my yard and make a couple tracks, but I guess they had to get the supplies back there somehow. The price was good. They work awesomely fast, and are clean too. I feared that a lot of my garden / plants would be damaged, but that was not the case. Again, it's amazing how fast they put up a new fence. Good job. I called out five contractors. This one and one other were tied for low bid. I chose this company because, Mike, the supervisor was very easy to work with. He was very responsive to me as the one to initiate the contact (although my neighbor tried to get a hold of him for more work and the neighbor said he didn't get a call back by the start of the job). I got calls and emails in advance of the job to confirm. Crew showed up on time. Demo'd old fence; saved as many plants as possible; and installed new fence in a couple of days. I approved the first days work (as the primary contact) but neighbor needed changes. Posts in and stringers installed. Next day the crew made the changes after a call to Mike the supervisor who called the crew (he was not on site) and told them to make the changes. Crew balked a bit at first but then they got in line and finished strong. Looks good. I have more work with a different even more challenging neighbor. I would call them out againshow more

The initial phone call was very good. I was able to describe the services needed and an appointment was scheduled for within a few days. A representative showed up, as promised, and we walked through the back yard area to discuss options for repair and replacement. The guy did an excellent job of making recommendations and providing a detailed drawing of his suggestions - including price options. The work commenced a few weeks later - yes, I would have preferred a shorter window, but they were really busy. The work was done over a 2 day period...not within 1 day as promised, but again that was due to their resources and lack of availability. All in all I was really satisfied with the quality of the work - it's excellent. We also did some comparason shopping on pricing and this company is very competative. Even though we got moved around a bit on their schedule, it was worth the wait. The attendion to detail was very impressive and this is a company who truly takes pride in their workshow more
