Monova Homes just completed a major kitchen remodeling project for us. Jay and his team completed the entire project on schedule and in budget. His team was competent, professional, and polite throughout the entire project. We are so happy with our new kitchen and we have Jay and his team to thank. We would hire Monova Homes again in the future.

My partners and I are very glad that we hired Chris Papadopoulos with ACT to assist us with the remodeling of our new restaurant – Brickside Bethesda. We have worked with Chris before on our business location in Adams Morgan and couldn't have trusted anybody else taking over this challenging project. Apart from the regular construction scope, the project had a lot of design elements that needed a lot of detail orientation and supervision. Chris not only handled that professionally but really stepped up in every possible way to resolve any issues that came up and bringing positive solutions to any challenge. This was a major custom job, but he planned, coordinated and supervised his crew and all of his trades in such timely manner that our deadline was met and we could prepare to our grand opening on time. The quality of his work is impeccable. We are very grateful for Chris’s construction skills and expertise and we highly recommend him.

Ryan redid my kitchen and basement. He and his wife always have wonderful ideas. He is very helpful, very knowledgeable about what he is doing. His wife definately has an eye for design. They also offer competitive pricing. Very trustworthy and I would highly recommend to anyone.

It's a small company that has a very tightly knit group of subcontractors that are all coordinated extremely well by the owner who is punctual, precise and very straightforward with his estimates for work. They're very, very easy to work with. I gave them a B on price because I think they're a bit pricey.

First off, I'd say that we met with over a handful of contractors to do the remodel of my kitchen and entire main floor. It involved leveling a slanted floor, removing a structural wall, adding an island with a sink, all new appliances, cabinets, granite, etc. It was a HUGE job for us and we were burned by contractors before. PHP was one of the contractors we met with, we were going to go with someone else because of price but called PHP back before the job started. We felt like we could trust them. They gave us one point of contact, took care of all permits for structural changes, design elements and subcontractor relations. They kept us in the loop as things progressed or seemingly wasn't progressing such as when we were waiting for the permits, and eased the tensions. We got several items ' thrown in' new vs blended new and old flooring, adding new open air shelves, and leveling even more than was originally agreed to. The best part was that they cleaned daily. They were great!!!

Chris Cardinale was a joy to work with. He was thoughtful about costs and had skilled workers and subcontractor (although 2 very good carpenters quit during the job). He made thoughtful suggestions on aesthetic issues.

Remodeling of kitchens Contractor did the awesome job as per my wish. I , highly recommend this contractor to those who need any kind of general construction job or remodeling etc. This contractor has very flexible schedule to finish the job. He is very courteous person and very reliable person.

I think their pricing is good. Their responsiveness is not good. I'm doubtful if I would ever use them again.

The team from Globe Kitchen and Bath was top notch. They completed the job on time and within budget. Their crew was extremely courteous and extremely clean. They arrived when they said they would arrive and usually spent 8-10 hours on the project before finishing up for the day and returning the next. They were all easy to reach via cell phone as well. We had a complete master bathroom remodel. The team from Globe Kitchen and Bath re-set our existing tub, did plumbing work, electrical work, tiled the new bathroom, installed a new granite floor and new granite counter tops. The quality of work was excellent. We would use this company again for future projects.

I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy. I called them to do a water mitigation for a small apartment. It took them SIX months for the work to be completed! The manager knew that I was out of town, so he took advantage of me. The second that I told him I was flying in to check on his work, "all of a sudden, the work was completed." Except it wasn't: They have installed a different sized vanity in my bathroom! so there is a huge, and visible gap from the wall to the vanity They did not install a faucet stopper The sink and the mirror touch each other so you can't even turn on the water And worst of it all-they have installed new floor on top of a leak! when I went inside the apartment for the first time to check on their work, I stepped on the floor and there was gushing water that came out of there. When I called Luis, the first thing he told me: what did you do?! Are you kidding me?? He was extremely rude to me and told me that I wasn't a five year old and that I should have checked on their work earlier!! The audacity on this man. This man is a con artist and he is running a scam. Please be careful and go to a reputable, more legit company.

Fantastic! My wife and I were completely gutting and redoing our main floor bathroom on our 100 year old house. We originally hired a contractor other than Matthews Construction, and after a few weeks of work, it became apparent that they were not going to provide the finished product that we were looking for. I called Brian Matthews to ask for an estimate to finish the job. His response was quick and straight forward. He explained that his crews were very busy, but he would be happy to come out and give us an estimate on fixing and finishing the job. Two days later, he was at our house providing an estimate. In a nutshell, his crew had to repair a portion of the work done by the previous contractor, as well as do a majority of the finish work, sand and paint a 100 year old ceiling to make it look new, and generally clean up a lot of the finish work that was not done to our specs. The big job, however, was building a custom built-in cabinet in one of the walls of the bathroom. This was the portion of the job that we were most skeptical about, as it involved design and custom cabinet work. Brian immediately made us feel comfortable that he was the person for the job. He brought his best carpenter in to have a look, and they discussed the best method to complete the job. We explained to Brian that we wanted a simple, but beautiful built in cabinet system that would be a focal point of the room. Brian and his carpenter, Robert, delivered 100%, and the result exceed our expectations. Brian and his team completed the job in the timeframe that he estimated, even while squeezing our job in the middle of other work that they were already doing. Note on cost of service: The total cost of the bathroom was appx. $25,000. Of this total, Matthews Construction charged us appx. $7000 to come in and repair and complete the work of the previous contractor. Upon seeing the level of work, we separately hired Matthews Construction to do some more minor clean up work on another bathroom in our house, which was a bit easier, but also completed exactly as we hoped. I will add photos if possible later. Right now, I have no room left on my computer to download the photos.

Billy and his crew were amazing. They showed up on time every day, worked hard, and got the job done promptly without overcharging for extras. Billy was very patient and helpful as we talked through design issues. He has a lot of experience and wisdom and had some great ideas which were better choices for the space and saved us money. His craftsman skills added a lot to the finished product. They worked hard to contain the dust and cleaned up the space each night. We are very thankful for their care and professionalism and will be hiring them again.

They were very good. They have done good work for me previously. They have moderate cost. They were extremely good about following up on anything that happened after their leaving the premise.

He came out around 11:30, looked at the jobs I needed done, I gave him a copy of the list of things I need done and he knew this was a big deal I purchased. I knew if there were to be extra time or work I would need to pay more and we were both on the same page. 2 hours later, I get a call from his office that it he was concerned with the safety of his crew and weren't going to be able to the things I asked.

The contractor, David Robertson, was responsive from the start. He conducted an in-person visit and gave an estimate on the same day I called. The job was scheduled quickly and the contractor showed up on time. Generally, the work was thorough and of fair quality. However, it was clear that the carpenter lacked experience and he caused a bit of damage to the lockset while installing it. At the end of the day, the job was 90% complete. David offered to replace the damage parts and come back the next day to finish. I would use Something Different Contracting again because they offer reasonable pricing and are responsive, although I found the quality of work to be lower than expected.

They did show up for the appointment, and were responsive to phone calls and emails. The reason that I'm declining the deal is because of how long it has taken to schedule the service.

Contractor arrived on time and completed work quickly and in a professional manner. Would definitely recommended contractor and would use in the future. This is the second time we have used this contractor and was very pleased with both jobs.
