It made the house feel refreshed throughout. The Hire My Husband team covered the walls with plastic to limit the ceiling material from going everywhere and picked up everyday they were here which was nice as this is a messy job. Jason and Justin were polite and professional and wore masks as the interior mask mandate was in place when we started this job. Part of Ceiling, a section of the wall & baseboard damaged by leak caused by attic furnace condensation. Rodolfo's company had to cut out a large section of the ceiling and a portion of the wall, tape texture, paint and paint & replace baseboard. They did an excellent job. The patch on ceiling and wall blend so well, if not known it had been patched, is undetectable. They also had to find a match for the paint on ceiling. I received two bids for this job in my top floor condo unit. The kitchen ceiling was badly damaged by a roof leak and was beyond repair. Socelvic was the better bid and they set-up the demolition, completed it in one day, and cleaned up well afterwords. The scope of the job changed slightly when we could see up beyond the old ceiling in our 100 year old building. We needed more framing to support the new blue board and were able to add insulation which is a bonus. Socelvic was good at informing me of the changes, the options and pricing. The new ceiling went up in a day and crown molding was added. The joints were filled the next day and on the final day the painting was completed. Overall, they did an excellent job. The demolition, carpentry, and paint crews were hard working. This job was very dusty and messy; I was warned ahead of time. Gil was extremely responsive. Our initial talk, setting up an appointment for an estimate, or scheduling a date for the work —Gil was lightning fast getting back to me, but I also was never rushed. He always promptly followed up with texts so when and what things were happening were always clear. Before work started on my ceiling we discussed other future projects-refinishing floors, electric work, adding a bathroom ...and then he asked if there were anything else he could help me with. It went excellent!! They came over and immediatey went to measuring before even attempting a quote. Created immediate availability for us, and got on the work. We had to coordinate with electricians (Voltz) as they were repairing hacky wiring and setting new recessed fixtures. Parts for the lighting work were backordered but Ofer and Moses were very accommodating, working around multuple scheduled disruptions even though it was high season -summer. I used Carl for 4 hours ($99 special) to have three ceiling fans installed. Despite the crazy wiring in my newly acquired house, Carl did a great job of figuring out what should be used and what should not be. 2 of the fans had remotes and the other smaller one did not, no issues for Carl at all. I would definitely use him again as he is polite, punctual, courteous and he goes through great detail to make sure you understand everything he is doing and what your alternatives are (fourth fan needs fan box installed while the others didn't). We’ve had CBS back to do many projects inside and outside of our home. Out side we’ve had them install windows, build a custom deck in our backyard and paint the exterior of the house using a three color scheme. Inside we had CBS remodel two of our bathrooms and the kitchen. They have installed recessed lighting, ceiling fans and crown molding. To finish it off CBS installed slate tiles on our fireplace from floor to ceiling and texture and paint the whole interior of the house. CBS is the only Contractor we use.
