I met with Ryan of Home Solutions after getting a couple other consults/quotes for my bathroom remodel/update. Im extremely happy I ended up going with Home Solutions. Ryan was very professional and communicative on timelines, expectations, costs, etc. His attention to detail was impeccable. Any questions/concerns I had were addressed immediately. Aside of the excellent service he is extremely competitive/reasonable on costs. I have Ryan coming back out later this summer for a couple other home projects I am looking to get done. FELDHAUS CONSTRUCTION LLC

Thought I entered this before so apologies to Jeff as he earned the praise. Jeff did a great job from start to finish. He was the only one (of three) who took the time to cut and view what was behind the boarder over the original cabinets. Pipes and wires meant we could not order the taller cabinets which the other two were pushing to sell. Jeff is a craftsman as it shows in his edging and corners. The guy, John Hartkemeyer, he uses to do the joint compound and sanding was also fantastic. Smoothest finishing I've ever seen. Definitely would use both again

Very well overall. There was a long delay between cabinet installation and counter top installation, but I was warned about this from the beginning of the project.

Hunny-Do Services LLC

I was so pleased with Cody Lawton's Hunny-Do Services on 24jan14 that I had him return today (31jan14). I am using him to renovate an apartment in Westwood (45211). I strongly recommend that you contact him via his email, [email protected]. He works long hours and will respond quickly if you use email. While he was working he spent hardly any time on his phone. Other people that have worked for me spend too much time on the phone conducting their business. He is a skilled worker, trustworthy, and the most honest and efficient handyman I have used in a long time. You can leave knowing that he will be constantly work on your behalf. I love that I can pay him on the spot with my MasterCard

Sharp Paintworx
1.0
I want to add to my wife's (Josephine M.) reviews of Sharp Paintworx (aka Landon Barnard & Tony Chessey). What started off as a smooth and friendly relationship soon became mucked up by Landon and Tony's horrible communication and lack of follow-through. We used Sharp Paintworx for painting our first house and then again to work on the master bath and to paint the exterior of our new home. Both projects went smoothly enough; we were happy with the outcome. We really felt we had a good start to our client/contractor relationship. When we began our kitchen renovation on our new home, Landon made it seem like it would be a quick process - "three months, worst-case scenario" - and we would be his only clients at the time. We were excited. We trusted him. We had been planning this reno with him since June 2021. Once we went over some numbers and had everything ordered (or so we thought), Landon had his guys start the demo in December 2021. Everything seemed to be going great until no workers showed up, without an explanation. This went on for close to three weeks. No workers, no communication. Mind you, we were living in our house during the demo so we were at the mercy of the project. This was also around the time when Landon started to become unresponsive to my texts, emails and phone calls. I tried calling and texting him every other day during those three weeks. Nothing. When I finally got in touch with him I found out that he had been out of town and put his partner Tony in charge. Tony never called me during this period. Landon apologized for the delay but I still can't get over the major lack of communication between partners in this company. Another example of poor communication was when I was supposed to meet Landon at the countertop store on a Saturday. I had moved some things around so I could block that afternoon off but when I was about to leave to meet him, I looked up the directions and saw that the store closed at noon on Saturdays. Landon had no idea. Again, lack of professionalism and more time wasted. I also once overheard Tony on the phone with another customer when he was at our house. This other customer was experiencing many of the same difficulties, but we were early enough in the reno that we kind of laughed it off thinking it would never happen to us. I overheard her asking where Landon was and why he wouldn't return her phone calls. There were other instances where Landon and Tony would speak poorly of other customers, which I thought was really unprofessional but I think we were still in a good standing relationship at this point and they felt comfortable enough to share this information. There were levels of unprofessionalism that now, looking back, were major red flags all along. I can't tell you how many times I would text Landon and he would text back that he would call me back but never did. Things really started to fall apart in February 2022. Landon made countless promises to get things done by a certain time (flooring, cabinets, tile) then the crew wouldn't show up for a day or two and the project just kept getting pushed back. Again, I would call or text and either not get a response or he would say that the guys would be there tomorrow or the next day to bang it out. I got accustomed to Landon's empty promises, so I began to go directly through Felix (the project manager on site) with any questions. In the final weeks (or what we thought were the final weeks), Felix and his crew stepped it up and began finishing the project at a pace more on par with what was promised to us to begin with. And honestly, it wasn't the pace - we understand that projects can get delayed; it was the lack of communication. It was neglectful. As we neared the end of the reno, we compiled a punch list and walked through fixing and checking off those items. There were two remaining tasks - to adjust our second electric box (made on a gentleman's agreement so it wasn't it our contract but still...) and to install an in-cabinet range hood/vent above our stove. That project is still pending today. Nevermind the electric box - we understand that wasn't part of our contract, even though they said they would fix it. But the hood? That was part of the project! Initially, we were hesitant to pay the final invoice before the vent was installed because we were worried we wouldn't hear from Landon again. I told him this over the phone and in an email. Landon threatened to get a lawyer involved because we couldn't withhold the money. He also gave us a "discount" for our troubles - and I put the word "discount" in quotations because his estimates were always a bit...fluid to begin with. We took it in good faith that they would come out and finish the final piece so we cut the final check and Tony picked it up that week. That was April 2022. After that - silence. After many attempts of my own to connect with Landon or Tony, Josephine left a negative review earlier this month (June 2022). Tony called her back because he said he saw the review. She and Tony coordinated a date for the final step. He said the crew would be out to install the vent Tuesday, June 21, 2022. The morning of, I get a text from Landon stating "Once a customer has submitted negative reviews online, our transactions are complete. I see the reviews still remain so don't expect us this morning, once all the reviews come down we can schedule a day to install the vent." Prior to that text, I had not heard from Landon since Thursday, May 19, 2022 when he texted me that he had the replacement range hood and that his crew would be out early next week to install it. Our experience could have been a good thing - we are generally happy with the outcome! - but it went horribly wrong all because of their lack of communication and client management. Overall, I would caution anyone before getting in too deep with Landon Barnard - the communication and lack of follow-through were extremely unprofessional

It went well. There were a couple things that had to be revisited, but they stand behind their work. They were easy to work with and did a good job. I want to rate them 4/1/2 star.
When Joe first came to bid the job, I appreciated that he was asking questions, sharing ideas, etc. You could tell he was thinking about things in more detail than I saw w/ others that bid the job. I chose Joe in part because I like working directly with the person doing the work, versus hiring a general contracting company that just subs things out. Joe has a few employees that provide assistance, but he was on site 99% of the time and he was the guy doing the critical tasks. Joe did sub out the electrical work for my job, which was my preference. But he owned that relationship and made sure things were done to our satisfaction. Our home is a difficult one. It's 110+ years old, which means walls are wavy, floors are crooked, etc.. This required extra effort and Joe invested that effort. I'm a detail oriented person myself. And I felt like Joe did a good job paying attention to details. He read my personality and was quick to call me in for consultation when there were decisions to be made. But I also think if I had been a hands off type of guy, he would have done great just making the decisions himself and delivering a great end product. Joe was always punctual and showed up when he said he'd show up. If he was going to be 10 minutes late, he texted me to let me know. Joe left the job site in clean and orderly condition at the end of each day. When there were small problems, he took ownership. For example, one of the original, natural wood door casing was a little scratched up after the demolition work. I pointed it out to Joe and he didn't hesitate to agree to make necessary repairs. Would definitely recommend Joe and hire him again
Jose and his team are the one of the best we found in a long time. They are honest, very polite, curteous, and professional We needed them to do interior painting and also a list of several maintenance and repair issues of which he was able to accomplish in a timely manner. There was a conscientious effort to leave the area and work in better shape than he found it. Would strongly recommend, and will be using his services again for sure
They did an excellent job. He had a lot of patience as I got the pavers my self and it took some time to get them in and he worked with me on that. He cleaned up really good and I would definitely hire him again.
Schul tile provided excellent professionalim, punctuality and qualitty. Dave came out to meet us very promptly after initial contact to review the project and gather the details required. We are reaonably detail oriented people and he was very receptive to our feedback and suggestions. He then quickly scheduled us, provided a reasonable quote and an estimated time to complete the job. Each day, the work began as scheduled. After completion of the job, the kitchen area was left neat and clean. Installation results were excellent. We installed a large section of subway tiles with darker grout lines on a 100 year-old masonry wall. It is not a perfectly straight wall, to say the least. They did an excellent job of ensuring clean, even and consistent grout lines. The outcome is a very professional and complete look. Thanks again to Schul tile for the great work -- we'd certainly recommend them and plan on using them on future tile projects
We started this project apprehensively since we had done a remodel before at our last house and had a horrible experience with our contractor, but our kitchen was badly outdated, our carpet and flooring in desperate need of replacement and we knew the project was too big to do ourselves. Two different people recommended Don Metz, who met with us and quoted the entire project and broke it up into pieces so we could pick and choose what we wanted to do. He told us it would take approximately 6-8 weeks. Don showed up every day like clockwork, was extremely organized, had the entire schedule mapped out in advance along with all the subs he would need who were all outstanding with the same high standards and work ethic as Don. His attention to detail was unbelievable, things we wouldn't have even noticed he was on top of and diligent about. Every night when we got home, everything was cleaned up, there was never any debris, nails or mess at all - all his equipment was cleaned up. We also have 2 young girls, so trustworthiness and professionalism was extremely important to us. Don is a very honest and hard working contractor, as well as very cost conscious - we felt very comfortable having him in our home every day. He was on site every day of the remodel. Our kitchen is absolutely gorgeous, just like the pictures the bigger well-known contractors showed us, but for substantially less cost. He works with Auer kitchens to supply the cabinets/granite/fixtures etc. who are also top-notch. The wood floors span our entire first floor and are absolutely gorgeous. Don used a sub-contractor that he has been working with for years and we can't say enough about them and the quality of this work. They took hours out to help us pick the stain color, and even painted on 6 different sample colors which they mixed in front of us so we could see how the floor would actually look next to the cabinets. Don made this major remodel seamless and painless for us. And he finished exactly on schedule - wonderful! I can't wait until we can do another project with him
Bill is very professional and skilled in all aspects of construction. He is always on site and available for consult. The work he does is exceptional and will work with you to customize any aspect of the project. It is very reassuring to have someone like him in your home that you can trust to be there whether you are on the premises or not. The work was completed on schedule and without any complications. Our bathroom turned out even better than expected and much of this was due to his expertise, knowledge and years of experience in finish carpentry and the building field. I would strongly recommend him to anyone
Hello. We are Jo and Walter Arnold of Oxford OH, and would like to attest for a job extremely well done by Harmon (dba Great Two Build Carpentry Company LLC). Fred worked with us to bring our old kitchen back to life by installing all new custom made kitchen cabinets, cooking / preparation island w/ cook top and wine cabinet, as well as all appliances. We particularly valued his professional advise that helped us open up our old small kitchen into one huge open room, to where our guests and family can enjoy our new remodeled kitchen/open space. We recommend Fred Harmon to anyone who is apprehensive about an extensive kitchen remodel job and all the travails it entails. Fred is friendly and easy to deal with; he is very particular with the work he does and we consider him a top-notch professional in every respect. Based on our positive experience we asked Fred to work on other small projects on in and around our home and his superior craftsmanship shows through. Based on our experience with recommend Fred Harmon enthusiastically and without any reservations
When I renewed my membership, the first thing that popped up was a request to write a review on Beta Construction: 2 words hits me ... "my pleasure." This company is wonderful, and here are notes from a thank you letter I sent them last year after they finished work in my Kitchen: August 24, 2014: Beta Construction (and LOWES/Springdale) did an outstanding job on my kitchen (August 2014). Plus, back in 2003, Fred McGary, of Beta Construction did an outstanding job building my custom-made additional kitchen utility cabinet and microwave shelf. Beta Construction?s installers ? Robert and Mike, were wonderful to work with: they were so polite, and they kept me informed of everything, everyday, as my project went along. In 2014, I had a 60+ year old stove that stopped working, but had been built into kitchen counters. Mr. McGary redesigned the space: split the existing counter-top to make room for new stove; upgraded the surrounding work areas; and upgraded my sink and garbage disposal. I was (and still am) beyond pleased with his work
