EASTGATE POOLS
This is a 28 year old inground pool. The previous liner had been poorly installed by another company. Eastgate measured and ordered a new liner. The liner was delivered in less than the quoted ten days. The installers spent hours in sweltering heat, patching the walls and floors due to the poor installation of the previous liner (not by Eastgate) and braved a thunderstorm to hang the new liner. The visit to measure and the installation were done on time. All the eastgate people were courteous and professional. I'm completely satisfied with the liner installation it looks good no wrinkles or leaks

Mid American Gunite Pools & Service Inc
This company performed well and adhered to the terms of its estimate in producing a quality product at the cost estimated. The time of construction was about two weeks longer than estimated due to heavy rains during the construction period. However, they did the best that could be expected under conditions beyond their control. Construction of a pool is a major project and resulted in substantial damage to the lawn. They did a good job of restoring the area so that a landscaper could easily resod it. ( I had understood that landscaping would be my responsibility) I was pleased enough with the performance of this company that I have continued to use them for pool maintenance and pool opening and closing during the past two swimming seasons. They have handled these responsibilities well. In summary, this is a reputable company and I would recommend them to anyone considering constructing a concrete inground swimming pool

Pool & Spa Warehouse
The swimming pool itself is great, but the electric cord that came with the pool pump did not meet code requirements. I was disappointed that the correct cord did not automatically come with the pool pump and that Warehouse didn't have the cord I needed. Initially I was told that it was my problem and to go to Home Depot to get what was needed. I spent several hours calling places to find the cord I needed and was finally able to find the cord I needed from another pool supply company. I think the pump should have come with both types of cord attachments. Unbeknownst to me, you need the regular 3-prong cord to temporarily run the pump, but to pass code inspection you need a locking plug. Fabulous service to the consumer would be that both types of cords would come with the pump. The second issue that cropped up was that the pump was leaking. After calling the store a second time, I got Rob on the phone and he went above and beyond to get the problem resolved. He personally came to my house with a new replacement part and fixed the problem. Also when I told him the cost for the correct electric cord, he brought additional chemicals for me to use as compensation. Rob was able to take me from an disappointed consumer to a very satisfied customer. Rob gets an "A" for service. I only wish "A" service had been my only experience with this project

I contacted Ray because of all the excellent reviews he received on Angie's list. He said he didn't generally do jobs in Northern Ky because of the distance but he would for us. We're glad he did. Ray kept in contact with us during the whole process. Basically you have schedule early in order to get your liner installed once it gets warm enough to do it. I asked Ray so many questions and emailed him all the time. He never failed to respond one time. Night before install he came and put a pump in to pump out the pool, we asked that he run the house to the road so we wouldn't flood our neighbors yard. He said no problem. It was drained by the time we got home from work. Next morning his assistant showed up at 8am to remove the old liner. I forgot to ask his name but he was so polite and friendly. We had to leave to get a water meter and a fire hydrant hose, by the time we got back he had the liner out and neatly put in garbage bags. By a little after 10am Ray was there and the liner install started. They had that done but I think noon or 1, not sure which. They went to lunch while the fire hydrant filled the pool. They came back by 2 or so, did all the faceplates, step cut in etc. Our pool was filled by 4pm and looks like a brand new pool. I can't stop looking at it. I would recommend Ray to anyone that will listen to me. He doesn't try to upsell you on things you don't need, He does great work and is the most polite person. Also he and his assistant put up with two old people basically watching them all day and talking to them because we had nothing better to do that day...lol Thanks Ray, we love this pool

POOLS BY DESIGN
The company was overall fair. The attention to details and finishing of the project was poor. Communication was lacking. Towards the end of the project, everything took multiple phone calls and/or letters for action to be taken. They never did finish the project to our liking. I spent the last year and a half trying to get them to address our concerns. Even non-payment of the final amount owed seemed to not concern them. Unfortunately for us, the final amount owed is far less than what it would take to complete the swimming pool properly

They built my pool in 1997 and come twice yearly to winterize the pool and also to open it for the summer season. The only complaint I have with them is that the concrete apron around the pool has a lot of cracks in it and I don't think the company they had do the concrete work did as good a job as they should have. Other than that, Eastgate does a nice job; they have good quality people

WE WERE NOT HAPPY WITH THE FACT THAT WE PAID SO MUCH FOR THE POOL AND THE INSTALLATION OF THE POOL WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. OTHER THAN GIVING US A LIST OF SUB CONTRACTORS THAT WE HAVE CALLED AND NOT GOTTEN A RESPONSE FROM, THEY CANT HELP US GET THE POOL UP AND READY FOR USE.

I'll start with the positive - our rep, Jay, was professional and knowledgable. That being said, there are a few things that I wish I had realized when we entered into our contract. 1) The price we paid to Pools HD was for JUST the pool, pumps/heater element, 2 filters and installation into the ground. We did add lights and stamped concrete into the contract but nothing else that is required to operate a pool were included. No water (additional $575), no plumbing (an additional $2200), no hauling away of trash and dirt (an additional $500) and no electricity (an additional $1700). 2) We had to act as our own general contractor to hire the plumber and electrician which was not easy being new to the area (thanks Angie's List for helping us find reputable names!) 3) The lag time between getting the pool installed and the concrete poured was several weeks which limited our ability to use the pool. 4) When the concrete was poured, they did not cover the pool water and we ended up with concrete dust and dye - which stained the sides of the pool and clogged one of the 2 free filters that we received. We were told that we could hose off the filter and that we should be able to clean the dirt line (similar to the dirt line one would get in a bath tub) but who wants to take ownership of a NEW pool that already has to be cleaned due to negligence

They were just a little too expensive so I did not use them. The quote was only for the labor and not for the liner material. So, I called another place and they wanted $450 but I still thought that that was expensive. The overall experience was fine and they also got right back to me.

I called Mike yesterday and he came out this morning and repaired our gas fireplace. Our pilot light would light, but the logs would not remain lit. He checked all of the connections and made sure the voltage was right and lighting at the right spot. He also showed my husband what to do if the same thing happens again. He did a great job. We will definitely call him again if needed

They gave me the information that I needed. My interaction with them went really well. I wanted to know about the cost. They said that they would open the pool as long as there was nothing hidden. They quoted me $200 to open up a normal pool. However, we didn’t get the work done because we decided not to buy the house. They were pleasant and gave me a price which was clear and precise. They also answered my questions. I called them because they were close to the house. Everything that they said was accurate. I was very satisfied with what they said to me. I was very happy that $200 was all they wanted to charge to open the pool. They readily gave me the information. They gave me the quote without seeing the pool. So I was very happy with that. They answered the phone and told me everything I needed to know. They did great and their professionalism was great too. If need be, then I would contact them again

Wayne is extremely professional. We originally asked him to come out in the summer of 2011 to give an estimate on installing a pool. We opted to wait for the summer of 2012. At the beginning of the season, Wayne called us back and asked if we were still considering a pool. We were and intended to use Wayne for the install. We ended up purchasing another home (luckily with a lot fit for a pool!) and will be using Wayne to install the pool. Wayne was referred by a co-worker. We spent time with multiple pool installers and Wayne isn't the cheapest, but he isn't the most expensive either. He is honest and he does nice work. From the pools we looked at which he installed the consensus was that Wayne is flexible and does not have limitation on what he can do. If you want the steps a little large, he can do it. If you want to curve your concrete, he can do it. If you want color in your concrete, he can do it. Other installers were limited on their options of what they can provide without additional costs

Not only was her team professional and prompt, but they were able to move our installation up a full week prior to the original date. Her team of installers took the time to teach us best practices for operating our new pool. There was a small hiccup when one of the pieces of our railing was broken but the team returned the next day with a replacement part and wrapped everything up very efficiently. There have been a few questions that have popped up since the install, and Betsy has continued to provide support and answer our questions without delay. We highly recommend Perfect Pools

Our old pool liner was torn from the hard winter and cross county came out and measured the pool and ordered a new liner. They came out and drained the pool , removed the old liner , did any patch work that had to be done , and worked long hours the first day. They installed the steps and the new liner and started filling the pool. They came back for the next 3 days and as the pool filled they took care of any wrinkles . The pool is now open . We would recommend cross county pools to anyone
