Olsen Tuckpointing Company did a brilliant job of cleaning & tuckpointing our 91-year-old brick bungalow. We are delighted with the results and highly recommend Olsen if you need any kind of brickwork done. It wasn't a huge job, but with the home being as old as it is, we were concerned about getting it done right. The brick exterior had quite a few old mortar patches and some washed-out sections, and over the years the walls had collected a wide assortment of paint stains, hardware hangers and old screw holes. The textured, tan brick also looked pretty dingy, although we weren't sure how much was the original color and how much might be accumulated dirt. The attached pictures show the after & before of dull brown bricks cleaned to a warm, clean gold. I didn't take closeups of the repairs, but I am impressed by how seamlessly the new work blends in with the older mortar. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional, and I have only good things to say about them all. The estimator was able to come out quickly after the initial contact, he did a comprehensive walk-though, and he provided a clear, reasonable, and detailed estimate in a timely fashion--along with an explanation of the whole process from start to finish, so we would know what to expect. The office staff was great about getting things scheduled and making sure we knew when the crews would be showing up, the crews introduced themselves on arrival, and they were all friendly, careful, and incredibly skilled. We are 100% pleased as can be & will certainly be calling Olsen Tuckpointing when next we need any masonry work performed

Scott is very personable, a seasoned roofer, and puntual. He tells it straight, and does the job as quoted. He and his team are friendly and experienced. We had a problem with a lack of air flow in the attic. He corrected that, tuck pointed the chimney, replaced the roof, and installed the solar fan. Scott suggested the type of fan to buy which is from a local company with excellent customer service. What sets Scott apart from the rest of the roofers, is that he replaces/or renails the deck to ensure it is tight. The job to 4 days, which the other times I've had a roof replaced they do it in 1 day. The quality is superb. Scott is on the job managing as well as working with the team. "Although the price was a bit higher than a few other contractors - it was well worth it. The quality of work was amazing!!! I really mean this and the professions that did the work were wonderful to deal with. Everyone on both projects showed up on time - kept me informed regarding what to expect and after everything was done, I was extremely happy. "When I decided to remodel, I looked at about 50 companies. My list came from Yelp, Angi, Yellow Pages, and Google. I narrowed it down to five and scheduled them for interview. I was looking for a remodeler who would give everything to me straight. No lies, no BS. I wanted someone large enough to have a designer and a manager assigned to my job who could keep things moving without making excuses. CHI Renovation did exactly what I was looking for.
I can attest that the people they assigned to my job were outstanding. Tops on the list are Designer Julie Hermanson and Project Manager Gene Leonard. Julie did an amazing job of settling our nerves while helping us with the design of our kitchen. And Gene was here for us at every step in the project. He dealt with the suppliers and held the workers feet to the fire. Each time we called him during the project he answered his call on the first ring. Really dedicated.
I knew in advance that there are supply chain issues. I heard about homeowners getting caught in a mess and getting stuck in half done kitchen for months. CHI said they would not begin work until their project manager personally viewed each part. This is exactly what happened.

His level of high level of expertise was evident in both his scoping of the job and in his final product. When I asked for additional repair work, outside of the original scope, Jon was very flexible and was able to fit the other work in after completing the originally scoped work. The additional cost was much lower than I expected. All work was done at a high quality, and their cleanup afterward was top notch. I enthusiastically recommend JPL Masonry!
