- G&L Design Building & Landscape IncMy husband and I decided to completely redo our back garden. After much research with other companies and viewing many ugly and blah ideas we chose G and L Design. It was a very intensive project. Giant ficus trees with very invasive roots had to come out, along with the roots. Much concrete had to be removed. Most of the old soil had to be replaced. Most of the plants needed to be removed except for a few hydrangeas and roses. We also had drainage problems along the side of the house which were affecting the integrity of the foundation. G and L Design helped us develop a beautiful and comprehensive design and also addressed serious problems. After doing an excellent and clean job of demo the fun part started. Dee, the owner, took us to a stone yard where we found exactly what we wanted: beautiful golden figured sandstone. We wanted much hardscape for entertaining yet for the space to be lush at the same time. Dee's excellent landscape architect Rick took us to nurseries and helped us decide on beautiful trees, shrubs, flowers and herbs. Dee has permanent employees; he uses no day labor. His workers are skilled. Each large slab of stone had to be cut by hand. It was put together like a beautiful puzzle. The stone cutter was an artist. It was a joy to watch him work. We have an upper yard and a lower yard. A beautiful stacked stone curving wall was created along with very pretty large half moon steps separating one area from the other.$ New drip irrigation systems and lighting were installed. The drainage problems on the north side of the house were addressed. The trees and plants are terrific. Wherever your eye lands there is something lovely to see. As the project progressed we obviously ran into some challenges but Dee always had a solution. When I wanted to make some changes there was not a problem. We are so happy with this fabulous addition to our home we are using Dee to redo the front of the house next. - G&L Design Building & Landscape IncI consulted with G & L Design with the design and installation of a pavers, patio, BBQ aria, landscape lightning and the selection and placement of flowers, trees, shrubs, and grasses. I could not be happier with the result. Dror had so many interesting and effective ideas, especially given the space constrains of my West Hills yard. She was able to execute my objective, giving me a usable space to entertain while maximizing vegetation. I highly recommend G & L Design!! Our house needed this change, Badly. And we are so happy we found them. Dror helped us transform the front and the back of our house to something we always dreamed about! She was so easy to work with, so knowledgeable and had amazing ideas for how to make the project really sing. Before we did this project, the front of our house looked like a dump. Now, my neighbor says it looks like the garden at the Museum. We are thrilled. It's been about 2 months since she installed all the new plants and everything is thriving and growing beautifully. - Garden View Landscaping, Nursery & PoolsSeveral of our HOA Board members made a trip to this nursery (it was pretty close by) to pick out some trees. They were VERY helpful, even their website gave us information to bring with us (photos, etc.). We were able to pick out 5 new trees as well as a couple of plants and about 12 bags of compost. They delivered them in a timely manner. We elected to also have them plant the trees, but I can't remember the price we paid (it was reasonable, we had checked with other landscapers regarding their prices as well)

- Marble & StonelifeMarble Stone Life is a very good company that I would recommend. The work and knowledge of the worker who came to our house was amazing, he was professional, polite and very knowledge about what needed to be done. As a matter of fact, after seeing the place in person, he came from his original estimate because he didn't want to charge us for services we didn't need. A Real class act. DOWNSIDE Their website is a bit wonky and the communication with them was difficult at first, but once the appt was made, it was pretty smooth. So don't give up. Call them a few times
- Bragar LandscapingWe knew we wanted a water wise front yard, but we also wanted it to look good. We're not landscapers, so we contacted Ken Bragar. We discussed some different options and pricing. Ken did a terrific job of walking us through different ideas and costs. He drew up plans, showed them to us, made some revisions per our input. He came in with a price that was very fair, so we hired him. He and his crew were very professional. They were punctual and hard working. They completed the job in about 3 weeks. They cut broken concrete to form a patio and walkway. They used a combination of small cobblestones and two walkways of decomposed granite for the parkway. They also installed a complete drip irrigation system for the drought tolerant plants that they installed. Ken was there everyday. The end results far exceeded our expectations. We are extremely happy with the results and would recommend Ken Bragar to anyone looking for the best in landscape design and installation
- See Clearly Window Cleaning & Screen RepairWe have already recommended them to our neighbors. They did an excellent job and were careful in our home carrying screens around and they did the best job washing our windows and mirrors that we have ever had done. I am extremely picky and I was sooo happy with the outcome of their work. Also the new sun screen installed on the upstairs door that gets a lot of direct hot sun has really helped the room temperature inside. It blocks 90% of the suns rays coming against that area. Their prices are very competitive and this is a company I would continue to use. We are new residents in the area and we are very happy we found them on Angie's list
- Baron Bros NurseryBaron Brothers has a large selection of outdoor plants on an impressive acreage of land. The property is so large it took me a while to even find their office. Their plants are well maintained and their staff was very knowledgeable. I will be purchasing more from them in the future.
