I love this system and HIGHLY recommend it! We have used ADT and Bay Alarm in the past but got frustrated with contracts, high monthly costs and equipment problems. Reed was a little slow in responding to my initial email, and then response was basically "call us". The gentleman that came out to give me a quote was helpful and clear in his explanations. I was concerned about a long term committment on monitoring and he and the owner worked with me on this, which I appreciate. The technician installing the equipment was very knowledgeable but had some issues with responsiveness with the main office on monitoring setup so the installation took longer than expected. I had some issues with the accounting office on acknowledgement of the 1st 6 months monitoring fee I paid when I initially agreed to the installation, but they eventually found it and were apologetic. My friend told me this company was great. I agreed with my friend. They are cordial and they are very easy to work with. I only pay about ten dollars a month for them to monitor my home alarm system so that pleases me. They are much less expensive than other companies so I know I am getting a good dealshow more

Our current alarm monitoring company is Monitronics. They were here around November of 2015. They don't provide a private patrol dispatch. That's the only reason we're considering switching. Our municipality has a verified response protocol. They won't dispatch the police until they can verify there is actually a burglary in process. WE HAD OUR HOME ALARM INSTALLED BY BAY ALARM SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND HAVE HAD IT MONITORED BY THEM EVER SINCE. ONLY ONCE HAVE WE HAD AN ALARM RESPONSE. We decided to work with this company because they are local, have a great reputation, specialize in "generic" alarm systems that any service can monitor, and don't sell their monitoring to third parties. The technician arrived on time, but even though the folks at the main office were confident that they could monitor our panel, he was unfamiliar with it. He had to go online to study the product documentation to figure out how to get it to send monitoring signals. We had a concern about this, as we felt it was not really fair for us to be charged an hourly rate for "learning time". We called their office while the technician was onsite in our house and they agreed to lower the fee somewhat based on our concern. The technician was finally able to connect our system to their monitoring center, and also determine that the sensors on the windows could not be connected to the existing "brain box". He offered to give us a quote for a new "brain box" that all the sensors could connect to, but after getting our two-year contract written up, he forgot to give us the quote. Overall, our experience is positive; we feel that the only area where they could improve is in the communication skills and preparedness of their onsite techniciansshow more

One of the owners (who is a family head in this family run business) was rude on several occasions and insulting and not worth dealing with. I used this company for years in spite of equipment malfunctions (that they tried to charge us to repair) because of the otherwise excellent son who does a very solid job on their installs and he seemed to know his field well, was punctual, mostly cleaned up and also seemed honest. Though they are not insured, I didn't worry when in my home. When my system malfunctioned yet again, I asked for them to come for repair yet no one was available for 3 weeks due to vacation, they said. We went without functioning service twice and they still demanded payment though the system was not operating. THEIR PRICING WAS COMPETITIVE WITH SEVERAL OTHER COMPANIES WE CALLED. THE MONTHLY CHARGE FOR BEING MONITORED IS $35. INSTALLATION WAS DONE QUICKLY AND NEATLY. WE FIRST HAD IT INSTALLED WITH THEM SNAKING THE WIRES THROUGH THE WALLS. LATER, THEY RETURNED AND WIRED WITH OPEN WALLS DURING A REMODEL WHICH WAS ANOTHER CHARGE BUT EASIER TO DO. I travel frequently and wanted to install a security and fire alarm system with central station monitoring. I contacted Bay Alarm through their toll free sales number and they arranged for a representative to come to my nome at MY convenience. The representative was punctual and professional, assessed my needs and provided a number of options. I selected the one I felt best suited my needs. We did a walk-through of the home to identify and confirm what I asked for. We made a date for the installation (also scheduled for my convenience). The installer arrived on time and took precautions to not track dirt into the house. We walked through the installation again. The installer reviewed and cleared all details with me and began the installation. He completed the work three hours ahead of schedule. He reviewed everything with me and taught me how the alarm system worked before he left. I have been using Bay Alarm since mid-November and am very pleased with the service. They are also very responsive if you call their service department with a question. The security system came as advertised. Initially there was no need to contact them, as it was all self-installed and I had no issues with installation or getting it to work. Signing up for the monitoring service was also done online. Recently there was an issue with our base unit communicating with the monitoring center. The base unit came with Tmobile chip and apparently there was a signal coverage issue (even though our cell phone service is though TMobile and we've had no issues). SimpliSafe customer service was very responsive and sent me a replacement module with a Verizon connection. I had to uninstall the Tmobile module , install the Verizon module, and return the Tmobile module in the prepaid envelope that they provided. I had no trouble with the exchange, but this might have been a problem for someone not comfortable with opening up the base station, and changing electronic components. As long as you are aware that there is a DIY element to using SimpliSafe, I would highly recommend itshow more

We had a whole house alarm system installed. The house was pre-wired for an alarm system, so the actual install was very smooth. The sales process was interesting. After reviewing what I wanted, the negotiation began. We manged to reach an agreement and they threw in fire detectors (over and above our house detectors) with monitoring and dropped the monthly monitoring fee a bit. Don't be afraid to negotiate on price. The installation process was very smooth. My tech was knowledgeable and professional. After about two years of service the alarm system developed a "signal" fault - meaning the cell signal received by the controller was not strong enough. After trying to trouble shoot over the phone a tech was sent out. He tried to resolve the issue, but determined that the receiver needed to be replaced. Unfortunately the receiver I had was not being made anymore and an "upgrade" was required. After a quick call to the sales supervisor I was able to work a deal by paying for the upgraded unit, but they would pay the labor and the truck rollshow more
