Steven did an excellent job. He pointed out different things, such as the reason the garage blinds had not originally been hung correctly, and he cleaned up his work area when done. The 3 jobs took less than 2 hours, but I wasn't prepared to have him do anything else that morning. I will be calling them to re-stain my front door and do some dry wall work. I highly recommend them. Their services list covers just about everything - and it was obvious that Steven is very experienced

I had a very good experience with them. I have used them in the past, probably in 2004 when they did the blinds for the entire house, and I spent $1700-2000. The only thing that they did special was they did some custom blinds for the kitchen cabinets. My wife took care of that as she wanted something very unique. They put a special color blind that was made only by one company, and they special ordered it and fixed it for us. They are a great resource. I know there are a lot of other people who have used them as well. Recently, we had some repairs and other work done in the house, and so we broke some of the blind clips and they just came and retuned all the blinds. They did a very good job. They actually had to order some special clips for the blinds in the kitchen because it was not one of theirs, and they did that free of cost. They just came in and did all that by themselves. I was pretty shocked as they did everything in one visit and the service was free of cost. They are pretty good on price, and my neighbor, who had also used their services, said that theirs was the best price, so even after almost 8 years, they are still good on price. A couple of things that really made me select them was their price and their professionalism. The way they did the estimation was very different from some of the other guys who came from very established companies and gave top prices. The guys from Katy Blinds who came in measured everything and they were very confident when they gave the estimate. They gave us the order and stated that they will come in by this date and install it, so they were able to give me a firm date and they came on the exact same date. They also stuck by the price, and the quality of their work was pretty good. They came in to a brand new and clean house and they left a very clean house. They had to do some drilling to fix the blinds, and there was no dust after they left. They cleaned up everything. That is the reason I recommended them to other people who moved in after I did, and I have asked people that I have referred them to about the experience they had and they said it was pretty good

I purchased a new home in the Willowbend area. Out of the two companies that I asked for a quote, Chris with Blinds and Shutters of Houston seemed to be the most knowledgeable of the two. Chris came out and gave me a very competitive bid and it showed he knew his stuff. The other competitor was 3 day blinds. Even though 3 days was a larger company and could get me the blinds installed quicker, there sales person could not offer me any valuable consultation. When I asked there suggestion to what would work in my house, the rep just responded and quot;it just depends on what you likeand quot; The problem was I didn't know what I like and Chris made the buying process very easy. I was thinking about spending tons of money on Roman Blinds or Plantation Shutters, but Chris felt that was too dressy for my modern looking house. Was he right! The new feaux blinds Blinds and Shutters install are beautiful and the color even matches the window trim almost perfectly. The customer service is also excellent. The blind company accidentally sent over a couple bad blinds and Chris quickly replaced them and didn't accept final payment until they came in. I give 5 stars to Chris and advise anyone that is looking for blinds or shutters that there is no need to look further than his company. Thanks, Ro

Above and beyond! It pays to do business with honorable people, and Angela is good peeps! We had a small blind in the kitchen whose string was cut (who knows how it happened!) and were fully willing to fork over $200+ to have it replaced, but, no, Angela would have none of it. She reminded me that the blinds were still under warranty (seven years!) and that she'd see to it that the blind in question would get restringed and installed—free of charge! (Normally, you the customer would take it back to the store, which would then send it back to the manufacturer, which would restring and return it to the store, and you would either pick it up and reinstall it yourself or have a Hunter Douglas pro to do it for you at cost [note: the manufacturer-certified repairmen are wonderful, but *not cheap*].) Ms. Wilhem not only graced us at our house with her awesome presence, twice, but also dismounted and reinstalled the said blind herself, having taken pains to take care of all the concomitant nitty-gritty involved in remedying a defect in the product (if it was indeed a defect, as opposed to an accident), thus obviating the need for a botched DIY or for a very expensive repairman. I cannot praise this company highly enough

He hung a ceiling fan, which took him an hour and a half, then he hung some faux wood blinds and dropped the blinds onto the window sill, which scuffed it up. And he was expensive as well. Screwed up my neighbors tile also.

I called Dave because my daughter was pleased with his work. His helper Enrique was early for the job and Dave called and asked if it would be ok for him to go ahead and get started. He had the job done in about 10 minutes and made sure I was satisfied with it. While Dave's prices were a little more than I would have wished they are perfectly fair and reasonable. I have a number of other small jobs I need done and I will certainly call him. He calls if there is a question or a problem with timing and always answers his phone when called. Very good experience. They removed all the blinds, put them in a machine (in the truck) to clean and sanitize them, and hung them back up. They were SO WELL CLEANED. It took some time -- they arrived at 10 and left at 4:30 -- because of the extra work needed for my 31 windows but it was definitely worth it. They just did an excellent job and I highly recommend them

I FILLED OUT THE CONTACT FORM ON HIS WEB SITE, HE DID NOT RESPOND. AUG 25 - 29, 2017 - HURRICANE HARVEY HIT HOUSTON. I REACHED OWNER TYRONE VIA PHONE ON SEPT. 06. HE STATED HE COULD ACCOMMODATE ME ON HIS FIRST AVAILABLE, SEPT. 08 BUT I AM CONSIDERED OUT OF TOWN AND WOULD HAVE TO PAY A $75.00 TRIP CHARGE. I LIVE IN THE WOODLANDS WHICH HE HAS LISTED AS ONE OF HIS SERVICE AREAS. MY HOME IS 42.8 MI FROM 12600 BISSONNET ST. I AGREED TO THE TRIP CHARGE. HE STATED HE HAD TO CHECK WITH HIS CREW SINCE HE WAS ONLY GIVING THEM 2 DAYS NOTICE. HE CALLED BACK AN HOUR LATER AND SAID APPOINTMENT WAS ON FOR FRIDAY. APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES LATER HE CALLED AND SAID HE WAS CANCELLING BECAUSE HIS GPS IS TELLING HIM TO TAKE A DIFFERENT ROUTE THAT WOULD END UP BEING 70 MI. I DO NOT THINK THEIR WAS FLOODING IN THE ROUTE TO MY HOUSE. HE ALSO SAID HIS TRUCK WAS OLD AND HAS NEVER BEEN TO THE WOODLANDS, SO WHY DOES HE HAVE IT LISTED AS ONE OF HIS SERVICE AREAS ? I ALSO WAS NOT IN A HURRY TO HAVE THE WORK COMPLETED. IF I HAD TO WAIT 30 - 45 DAYS, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE WITH ME. I WASTED OVER AN HOUR OF MY TIME TALKING WITH TYRONE AND NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED TODAY BY SOMEONE NOT ON ANGIES LIST WHO WAS 60 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOME AND DID NOT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH FLOODING AND DISTANCE

Mary Beth was wonderful to work with and very patient with all my questions. She provided sound information and advice on what would work best ind our home. The quality of the shutters and blinds is first rate and she is a pro at what she does. The guys that do the install work for her were polite, quick, and cleaned up. Mary Beth was with them the entire install time too.These window treatments have done more in the beautification of our home thdn anything else we've done. EVeryone is talking about how gorgeous they are. I would definitely recommend Shutter Up and Mary Beth and hope to use them again in the future

They said they would be in before Easter and I did put a down payment of $1500 on them. They came out and measured for the blinds and I was very pleased with them and they were very professional. They have not installed the shutters yet, they are still building them and I am waiting for them to contact me when they are done to install them, I will play the remainder of the bill. The work was done by Mr. Troy Barousse who answered my call for a handyman from "Handyman Matters" . Handyman Matters is not doing business now so Troy Batousse answered my request, quoted me a reasonable rate,arrived on time and did the job in about five hours. Troy said he has worked for RHM and would be associated with them in the future. A couple of unforseen problems where encountered and Troy was quick to find a solution which is much appreciated. I plan to use them again for some drywall work after the holidays.
