Trademark Landscape
I initially contacted 4 companies for quotes. Trademarks quote wasnt the cheapest but i felt like they were the most capable of all that I spoke with. I was told by Matt (I believe he's the owner) that it would be a 10 day job from start to finish. I thought that seemed a bit long but I accepted their proposal and signed the contract and we set a date to begin work. They started on the day I was told they would and the crews that worked in our yard was very tidy, they cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. You could see that the crew chief took pride in his work and was very detail oriented. To my surprise they finished up 3 days early. Every thing turned out great and I highly recommend Trademark Landscape when I'm asked who did our landscape

I love our back yard! The flagstone looks beautiful. Ron had the idea to cover an existing patio with the same flagstone and the result is our small yard looks so much bigger. We also had a fountain and outdoor lights installed which I love. They cleaned up our landscaping, trimmed the trees, put down mulch, put some plants in, replaced our gravel path and added drainage and installed an underground electric line. The other companies proposed putting the electric line above ground, which would not have looked good. We had 2 other estimates that were quite a bit higher. I thought they went above board in the quality of their flagstone work, and in the landscaping and cleanup

I contacted the company and Zack came out to do the estimate. I described what I was looking for. Basically to fix up a small backyard with the addition of a hardscape, a water feature, lighting, and low maintenance plantings. Zack came back with a wonderful design that incorporated all of these elements. The work done was very professional, with great attention to detail. Cameron helped us design a simple but beautiful patio with pavers, tropical plants, and a water feature too. He took care of setting up an irrigation system for the plants, electricity as needed to keep the fountain flowing, and he also strung some lights up above the yard which creates a wonderful ambience in the evenings. Parrot Head Pool Service
Parrot Head has been great! We just bought a home with a pool for the first time, so we are pool novices. The guys at Parrot Head have been great about answering all of our questions and teaching us about pool care. The previous homeowners left the pool and the pool equipment in disrepair, so Parrot head had to replace a lot of the equipment, fix fountains and heaters, etc. I would highly recommend them, and we will be continuing to use them for all of our pool needs

Bret came to my house to discuss the project. We discussed some ideas, and he emailed several graphic makeups of of potential plans. I appreciated how Bret listened and responded to my ideas and requests. A plan and contract price were agreed upon. The existing plants in the atrium were removed. Bret's crew was professional and courteous, and maintained a clean work area. THe finished product was more beautiful that the graphics provided. A zen-styled atrium includes a water fountain, planters with new plants, trestles's, all softly lit on a timer. All of this sits on a rich looking green artificial turf. A low maintenance project was one of my requirements. Bret came through; the water feature feeds from my sprinkler system, lighting is on a timer, and the turf never needs watering or mowing. I just wish I could include a picture here to show you the quality, professional work completed. I am throughly satisfied, and would recommend Inside Out Environments to anyone. Saw Terry's Landscape exhibit at the Katy Home Show in February. We had bids from three different exhibitors and decided to go with James and his company, Terry Landscaping. We met with him several times to develop a design for our back yard. We had to have homeowner's association approval for the work to be done and James walked through the process with us. His crew is very professional, on time, courteous and hard working. He was easy to reach and when leaving a message responded quickly. We would definitely recommend his company and are very pleased with the results. We added plant beds along the back fence of the house with a dry stack wall; planted 6 trees; numerous bushes, plants and installed a waterfall water feature. Everything went smoothly and the plants and trees look healthy

We had some old paving stones covering part of our backyard. We wanted to have flagstone put down instead. Ricardo suggested that we use paving stones that look like flagstone instead of the actual flagstone. We took his suggestion. The paving stones are more versatile since we have gas and water lines that run underground across the backyard. If one of those lines had to be repaired, it would be more difficult and costly with real flagstone. Plus the paving stones were less expensive than real flagstone. The paving stones are beautiful! We have 2 water fountains that we wanted to spotlight. Ricardo designed a curving, raised second tier across the back fence line. The water fountains sit up on that raised tier in each corner and are surrounded by container plants. The project turned out great - better than we could have imagined. In the paved area, there is an underground catch basin for underground drainage out to the front street. Ricardo's crew cut paving stones to place over the catch basin's grate. The way the stone were cut just didn't look quite right. We thought about it for a few days but we were not comfortable with how it looked. We contacted Ricardo and he was very responsive. He sent a crew back out and they re-cut stones for over the grate which we appreciate. It looks wonderful now! Ricardo and his crew were all very nice, professional, timely and responsive to our requests. They did a great job and we couldn't be more pleased

It took them about a month to get the fountain back to us after they picked it up to take it back to their shop for sandblasting. We had told them that we weren't in hurry to get it back. Once they delivered the newly repainted fountain which looked like brand new, they proceeded to remove the old wiring and install the new wiring. After working nearly all day setting up the fountain the pump would only run for a short time and then stop. After multiple tries, they left for the day but promised to send out their electrical expert the next day. The electrical expert came out and had the fountain running in short order. They were very professional and kept me informed as to their progress. I would definitely use their services again

I wasn't sure who to call for such a small job in the landscaping category. I chose Newsom from the reviews on Angie's List. I called mid afternoon on Friday and Jason was here on Monday. After pulling the pump, he said it would be a few days for the replacement. Four days later I called to get an estimate on the date to do the repair. I was told the pump was in and Jason would be here that afternoon. He was and the replacement pump was put in very quickly and the fountain is running properly again. Jason was very pleasant and professional. He installed the pump so that it is more easily accessable should any future repairs be needed, rearranged the rocks around the base of the fountain, made sure it was working properly, the reserve was full of water, and adjusted the water flow to my liking. He also offered tips on running my sprinkler system - how long and most benificial time of day. I would definitely call on Newsom again for any work I needed, small or large job

Anthony called Sat morning ( I had called the office on Friday) Anthony and Chad took the fountain apart, pressure washed and stabilized the foundation by laying concrete under the ground. They then reinstalled the fountain. They even lined up the designs. The fountain looks brand new. They cleaned everything up, put the moss rocks back around the landscaping area and filled it in with dirt. Very happy with their work! Would definitely use them again

At first they were extremely responsive. I received a quote and sat down with Josh (i believe the owner) and agreed to a design with some changes. The changes were not done and had to be fixed to be what we agreed upon, but this wasn't a problem since they did it without any complaint. The quality of their work was great (except I don't think they used a licensed electrician because they had some obvious code violations) Everything took longer than they said it would, they blamed it on weather but if you have been here enough you can predict that the weather can be unpredictable. I think we had a total of 2-3 rain days but somehow these rain days delayed the project over 1 month. And, to add to the experience, the punch list is still not done. 2 months ago I told them I was going to withhold payment (i am doing a payment plan) if they do not take action on the punch-list, they understood, and waited until a few days prior to the payment due date and then came out to "finish" the punch list, so I released the payment. They didn't finish the punch-list during that visit and just finally corrected the electrical so it is up to code, but there are still some outstanding items. I have not released any more of the payment and since my calls seem to go un-answered I have stopped calling. I figure, when they want the rest of the money, they will call me / finish the job

Our family entertains a lot and needless to say the garden/patio is an important part of our house. When construction tore our yard apart we called in Design Exteriors to help. Sonny’s team is knowledgeable, respectful and extremely hard working. Initially we met with Sonny, the owner and went thru several design iterations - he has a great eye for details. He shared his extensive plant knowledge with us and various patio options. We appreciated that he was sensitive to pricing and budget. Mark was our Project manager - He was on top of whatever new projects we threw his way, and he worked endlessly. We had some challenging drainage issues - but they worked thru them perfectly. The lead foremen were Eduardo and Enrique. Their broad knowledge ranged from irrigation, fountain building and plant compatibility. This team was amazing; they patiently listened to our ideas and respectively shared their valuable insights. Design Exteriors was a wonderful group to work with. Our yard is more beautiful than ever before

We had several tree roots that were threatening to cause foundation issues should we not address them. We had the root barrier installed between our home and several trees in both our front and back yard and had the imposing roots removed. The experience was great. The team was careful not to damage any cables or utility lines, timely, polite, answered our questions and cleaned up each night upon completing the day's task. Took approximately 2 1/2 days to complete. Would use again

Noe & his company PLS Landscaping did a very good job and cleaned up after done. Even did a little extra work and did not charge for it. The only issue and I have addressed this with him is his grass supplier has very sorry St Augustine grass. Full of weeds crabgrass and bermuda grass. Noe said he will not use that supplier again

This was a $30,000 job. We were pleased with everything except the planting. We feel things that grow fast were planted too close to other plants. We lost some plants due to being covered completely by overgrowth, this happened in less than a year. Otherwise Sam and his crew did a nice job. If I were to use them again I would need to be more knowledgeable about the plants he intended to put in

On a Thursday, all plants & tree roots were removed, soil was roto-tilled. On the following Wednesday, topsoil was added along with pine bark mulch and all plants were planted. The workers worked quickly and smoothly and were obviously very experienced. All plants were carefully planted & debris was taken away. All sidewalks were cleaned with water hose

This went amazing well. I was really looking for someone to give me ideas and help design the landscape, not just do exactly what i said. I didn’t have the time nor the expertise. So, Stephen was awesome. He came and looked at the space and started coming up with ideas and suggestions. Very creative and met all my needs for the patio/yard. I had wanted to do a water feature, but then decided maybe either didn’t have enough space or would be too costly, but he said it could be done and he would make it work with whatever budget a provided. My patio/yard space has been completely revamped. Completely new design, the stone, flowers, shrubs, tree, and the sitting space now all worked. Beautiful colors for the flowers. A new professional irrigation system was put in place as such he guaranteed the flowers/shrubs/tree. I’m so pleased as none of the others i requested a quote from and talked to really could give me ideas/design the space in addition to installing the stone/flowers, etc

It took about another two weeks to develop the entire scope of work and the total cost. The work took two days with 1-3 people. Randy actually pitched in to help. They worked fast and neatly. I had contacted C's Land Escapes to do landscaping work in my back yard last fall (2010). They were slow to get the job done; howver, they seemed very professional. They offered to do my yardwork for $25/per week. I hired them, however, they didn't do the best job, if there happened to be trash blown in the yard, they would just mow over it. There was a misunderstanding on the weeding, I asked Nicole Coovert-Owner, as on the monthly statement there was a general note that it was extra, she said that she would do it, and later when it was not getting done, she said she never told me it was not included (Lessons learned...get it in writing). The landscaping work in the back, was partially done, I continually would ask Nicole when they were going to complete the work. She would come around with the plans, then weeks later, I would ask again when whe was going to complete it. This went on for about 3 months. It was never completed. Today (5/31/2011), I received an email from Nicole, stating that effective June 1, 2011, they decided to cancel my services. The one good thing is that in Texas, there is no shortage of lawn maintenance companies
